Slightly disoriented and the service agents were super loud, especially the female one. Had to wait for a shuttle I had requested in advance for over an hour. loud, especially the female one. Had to wait for a shuttle I had requested in advance for over an hour. More
The service on my vehicle was due to A/C issues I have had. Another dealership in Gainesville originally serviced it, but their repair failed almost 2 weeks later. After scheduling an appointment, I broug had. Another dealership in Gainesville originally serviced it, but their repair failed almost 2 weeks later. After scheduling an appointment, I brought my vehicle in but was turned away since no service technician was available - my issue was explained to the scheduler so one would expect they would confirm the ability to fix my vehicle. The following week, I came in for repair and it seemed the repair went well. A few days later, my A/C failed and I had to return to get it fixed. Upon return, I was told it I would need to return to have hoses replaced on the vehicle that's not kept in the shop because they were sensitive. At this point, the A/C actually worked for the entire time I had to wait to return without any issues. I assume it was a patch so we can ride around until. Mind you, it works perfectly at this point. I return Sept. 1, 2023 after my original appointment on this issue was made in July. I made the hour-long journey down again (5 times total now) and waited for my vehicle, which should be replacement of the hoses. After a few hours and this being my 3rd attempt for repair, the service technician (they were good customer service wise), stated that my condenser needed to be replaced b/c of a dent and this wasn't a warranty item that would be $2,300 to repair (I was provided a picture, but was never physically shown the damage to the condenser). This seems odd considering my A/C worked perfectly up until I showed up that day and I had no issues with my condenser before and the dent was minor in the picture shown - not like an entire row of fins were bent inward to stop air flow. In fact, this was a separate estimate not included in the service forms. What makes it even worse, this is my THIRD repair attempt since May for the same A/C issue. As a note - on the journey home, I called a highly-rated and trusted mechanic in my area whose estimate on the condenser repair was almost half that of Hyundai Columbus. Finally, on September 2nd, 2023, one day after my last visit - I looked around the front of my condenser to see the damage to the fins (which would make sense if something flew in), but I didn't see the damage they refer to. I saw a fly that was stuck in a fin, but I never saw the damage that looked like the damage in the picture they provided me or enough damage that would have my A/C completely fail. The final straw is that I go to take my family of 6 to the game around noon that day with one parking pass so everyone had to fit and when I turned on the vehicle - hot air started blowing - so my family with 2 seniors, a 1-year-old, a 4-year-old and my wife go to and forth from our game without A/C in the heat of the day because we don't have another car that would fit us all (or parking arrangement at that point). It is highly disappointing and yes, the customer service is good, but I am being given the impression that there is unscrupulous behavior for warranty work since I can be charged twice the amount for a service that had no bearing on my vehicle working just a day before. And no - there was no accident, we didn't run over anything to create an issue, nor was there a pebble that flew into our vehicle to damage the condenser or any other part. I don't know if it's Hyundai as a manufacturer or the dealer service (because I do have a customer care case reopened), but Hyundai has proven to have a poor product, In fact, the reason why I had to go to Hyundai Columbus, is because Hyundai Auburn is 6 months out from diagnostics as told by their service technician, i.e. February (in July I was told we couldn't be seen until November). UPDATE: I would like to note that I went to an independent auto service center that informed me that they had no initial detection of a leak in my condenser A/C system (as Hyundai Columbus) and in fact, the repair shop said there was no indication that they attempted to detect a leak - i.e. no dye.
