Despite my loyalty to this dealership in the past, I will never return again unless there is some serious restructuring in the services department from the top-down. I have grave concerns that they are operating unethically, to the extent that I reported it to Honda corporate and the BBB. I’ve purchased two vehicles from this dealership, and I only returned the second time because I liked the salesman before. I didn’t get the same person, and initially everything was fine. Then - the literal moment after I sign the paperwork to purchase the vehicle - the rear camera goes on the fritz. It is not supposed to change from color to black-and-white intermittently and for no reason. This is a default in the electrical system with my brand new vehicle, and they are obfuscating responsibility - and even worse - the service manager continues to repeatedly lie straight to my face and tell me there is no problem. I’ve posted a photo of the problem on my Google review so everyone can see (I have videos as well that I’m sending to Honda corporate). My sales guy and the service technician were both nice and really great, especially the service technician. She was apologetic, patient throughout the process, and even assisted me in getting a new camera installed a week and a half later. Unfortunately, the problem with my vehicle continued, which is what leads me to believe there is an electrical system problem with my brand new vehicle. I went back up there several times to get this addressed, but I had to go back-and-forth like two or three times due to the disorganization of the services staff. None of it was the fault of the service technician, she was really nice. Again, the problems lie solely at the feet of their current manager, who cannot help himself but to tell falsehoods and act like a total grifter. I say this because once I finally got my appointment and after examining my vehicle, he tells me there is no problem. This really irked me because I explained it multiple times to the staff that the electrical problem is not only intermittent, but any Google search proves that this is a nationwide problem with this vehicle that has yet to be addressed through a recall. So why are you lying? If you were honest and told me that you don’t know what to do or how to fix it, that would have been acceptable. We could escalate the issue up the chain, like you’re supposed to. After a heated argument, I go up there the next day to pick up my vehicle. And lo and behold - As soon as I sit down and crank the engine, the problem with my camera starts up again. Immediately! It is inconceivable to me that the service manager says he did a thorough check of my vehicle twice and did not see any problem, but it is immediately transparent to everyone else with eyeballs. That’s how I know he is lying. I even had another service technician look at it before I drove off so I could continue to build a case against this dealership. Doug - do the right thing and resign. Autonation Honda took my old van, that we love, and got it running smoother than it has in a long time. I also could not find anyone else to tackled the problem of repairing the sliding side door. Ram called me asked “what’s wrong with my car” I asked him to call my mechanic and he was ok with that. My mechanic told him what needed to be done. Ram and I talked several times and kept telling me tha him to call my mechanic and he was ok with that. My mechanic told him what needed to be done. Took car to a different shop that was recommended to me they talked to my mechanic and fixed the problem. Car runs great now. More
