This review is for Autonation Honda South in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dealing with this dealership after the purchase of the vehicle has by far been the worst experience. I went in November 11, 2020 and Christi, Texas. Dealing with this dealership after the purchase of the vehicle has by far been the worst experience. I went in November 11, 2020 and traded in a 2015 Honda CR-V for a 2020 Honda Civic. After the signing of the paperwork and turning in the down payment the following day, I was not given a copy of my contract and was told it would be mailed to me. After several weeks, I finally made the hour drive to physically get a copy of my contract. When I was there, I was told I needed to provide extra copies of updated pay stubs because the ones I originally submitted were too old. That same night I emailed those paystubs. As time passed, I was beginning to receive calls from the bank that I was delinquent in my payments and that the vehicle was not paid off. I contacted the dealership to try and resolve this matter and they reassured me that “everything was fine”, “not to worry” and that it was “taken care of”. This response was given to me after several attempts to contact them with no answer or no return phone call when leaving messages. The calls from the bank were growing increasingly, to where I made another hour drive to the dealership to resolve this matter in person. I met with Dylan Johnson, the finance manager who originally finalized the deal. It took almost 40 minutes for him to come out of his office to greet me, and when he did I was not invited to step in to his office to talk. I had Dylan and the bank on speaker phone in the public lobby trying to take care of this. He finally provided me with a FedEx tracking number and check number with the amount, and was told there was another check sent out for the remaining balance. The check was delivered early December, but still the bank could not locate it and my account was continuing to be delinquent and forwarded to the credit bureaus. After the bank had time to review the tracking number and review my issue, the bank requested copies of the cashed checks for my account. Again, I tried several times to get ahold of someone from the dealership to help me. To this day I have not heard from them. We are now February 2021 and I contacted AutoNation Corporate office in Florida for assistance because I did not know what to do anymore. Today corporate has provided me with a copy of the payoff check to send to the bank as proof, only to see that the dealership typed the wrong account number on the check! I can only imagine, what if I had not called corporate to help me, I would have had a repossession in my name for a car that was traded in. I asked Mr. Johnson when I went in in person for copies of the check and he stated he could not give me that information. Corporate has helped me tremendously to clear this up, and I am hoping I am on my way to getting this taken care of. I understand the dealership did their job in a timely manner, and it was an honest mistake I am sure, what I am disappointed in is their lack of communication with me, no effort to want to help me fix this. Call after call only to get ignored, and basically making me do their job in closing this deal. I still have not received an apology for this stress, and for their mistake bringing my credit down. It’s disappointing how once you arrive, everyone is at your service. Collecting your down payment and eagerness to sell a car is outstanding but when I needed their help afterwards I was a nobody. For whoever reads this, I would be very careful if you choose to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. More
I've bought two vehicles from this dealership and wouldn't ever go back. Their service department tries to push unnecessary add-ons every single time the vehicle is in the shop. Their body shop is a "Geico shop" and does crappy repairs. And heaven help you if they owe you a refund. I've been trying for four months to get a refund on an extended service agreement that they admit they owe me. There's a much better Honda dealership in Calallen! More

He had no clue what he was talking about and said I would have a better chance purchasing the vehicle I want elsewhere. I have been getting my service done here for past 4 years but will not be returning due to Mark. More

Patient, Helpful & Great Customer Service I had been searching for a dealer to purchase my Honda lease car from and until I came across Autonation I had not found one that excelled in customer I had been searching for a dealer to purchase my Honda lease car from and until I came across Autonation I had not found one that excelled in customer service. We went in 3-days in a roll until we finally made the purchase complete. Everyone was patient with helping me thru the process and with family members that accompanied me. They were very attentive to the concerns I voiced with previous experiences with the lease financier (Honda Financial Services) and they worked VERY hard to keep my family as customers. I would highly recommend this dealership. You'd love working with Ms. Judy, Scott, Paloma and Cosmo. More

More specifically, I go to get my air conditioning diagnosed and they tell me that they need to replace the evaporator core and expansion valve which was about $1,000.00. I get the vehicle back and it is still not blowing cold air, the fact that they released the vehicle to me knowing that it was not fixed is a huge embarrassment to the Honda name and this Autonation franchise. I take it back and they say, "oh it is the relay switch" and they replace it, still not working correctly when they release it to me. The service technicians are not very skilled if they misdiagnosed my car 3 times, and it would seem that the labor and parts that i paid for was not the cause at all and that they were actually in good working order. The service representatives were not helpful either, very quick to hand me quotes on more parts and labor. I paid loads of money for this fix, and it is not fixed, that is not how Honda should treat their customers. I can't help but feel like this dealership has robbed me of hard-earned money. Be weary about getting your vehicle serviced there, their lack of knowledge and expertise is very evident when talking to these service representatives. In fact, they also tried to tell me that my radiator fans were not operating correctly, however, one fan kicks on when the A/C does and the other when the vehicle's engine exceeds 255 degrees and that's how radiator fans properly work. These service technicians and representatives will just tell you anything to get more money or for you to leave. This was my experience at Autonation Honda. More

I was promised a suitable trailer hitch as part of my trade for a new vehicle to support my aluminum hitch mount cargo basket. They also called to say my licence plates and hitch were in. After six and one half hours, I find a hitch that is half the size of the one on my Honda trade in and still dealer plates on my new car. If there was any communication within the dealership or between the service department and their customers, this mess could have been avoided. Victoria Honda, hope you can offer this new Honda owner the service you have in past years. Autonation Honda, you have lost a faithful customer. More
