Watch out for the scam! I brought my CRV in for some maintenance about a month ago, oil change. The "free" thorough diagnostic revealed some additional work would be required. And of course we all know it's NOT free; it cost $295 but if you do the work there, then it's "free". No problem. I have come to expect this and understand the arrangement since I own three Honda CRV and exclusively used Honda OHare to do the work. That set me back $2581.00 . Two days later there is a clanking noise coming from under the car. Did a little research and determined it is probably due to a loose exhaust flange: two minutes and a bolt later I would be good to go. Ha!! I brought the car in reminded the service rep I was just in and spent over $2500 and did not expect a big bill. Turns out (of course!) the bolt would not suffice because the flange had rusted through and I would need a new one. First complaint: how in all that is holy did they miss the rusted out flange the first time I brought in the car? Sounds like incompetence. During my research about the noise I read it would take about five minutes to replace and cost about $35.00 for the part. Hmmm: cost me $284.00 ! Why, you ask? That is correct: the so-called free diagnostic that they said I agreed to on the second trip (which I did not: remember I already knew what the problem was) (that actually "costs" $205.00..."free" if the work is done) miraculously becomes the per hour labor cost: $204.95. So I was charged for one hour's labor for a job that should take five minutes that is suspiciously the same amount as a "free" diagnostic. Second complaint: HAD the thorough technician caught the rusted out flange on the first trip that cost me over $2500, I certainly would not have agreed to replace a $35.00 part for $284.00. The co-called "labor" would have been taken up in the over costs on the first visit!! More
I received great service from AutoNation Honda and from the service consultant, Jasmine. I came to them with an issue regarding my air conditioning and they informed me that it was covered under a factory the service consultant, Jasmine. I came to them with an issue regarding my air conditioning and they informed me that it was covered under a factory recall. They took care of the issue promptly and allowed me to use a loaner car for 24 hours while they performed the maintenance. I'm also happy that they let me choose the loaner car. I wanted to drive an SUV and they gave me a CRV EX-L. I enjoyed it very much. I'm very grateful to the service team and Jasmine for providing world class service. More

I needed work done to my car so I brought my car in a couple times - the first to figure out how much it was going to cost, and the second to have the work performed. Both experiences were exactly what couple times - the first to figure out how much it was going to cost, and the second to have the work performed. Both experiences were exactly what you'd hope for, professional, courteous, pragmatic and honest. I finally decided to have the service done, so I showed up unannounced one day on my way to O'Hare. Being I was leaving town for only one day, my thought was to leave the car with them, take a cab to the airport, and the car would be ready upon my return without me losing any usability of my vehicle, since it would have been parked at O'Hare anyway. While I was away, I received text message updates from my service rep and then a video walkaround text of the work when it was completed. I got back to O'Hare the following day around 2pm, sent a text asking if my car was ready, and it was. My spouse dropped me off at the dealership and I was driving myself home less than 10 minutes after that. This couldn't have been a better experience and I will forever use them for whatever I need in the future. The location suits me well, and the people are fantastic. More
