my wife needed a car I and call Steven Cohen, Steven Cohen has my most respect as a salesman and a friend. my family and I had bought many cars and trucks from him from every dealer and different car m Cohen has my most respect as a salesman and a friend. my family and I had bought many cars and trucks from him from every dealer and different car maker he has worked for. He is a very trusting person and he will go out of his way to accommodate your needs. I have always had great credit score but due to hard times, this time my credit was not too good but the finance department and all the people at Maroone Honda of Hollywood made it possible for me to be close to my budget. I appreciate this kind of hard working and respectful people, I will recommended this dealer to anybody, and especially Steven Cohen's services. More
I have read so so reviews for this dealer. We had researched cars for a while. We narrowed it down to a 2010 civic Ex. We had corresponded with Jamie through the internet for a few weeks. He was alwa researched cars for a while. We narrowed it down to a 2010 civic Ex. We had corresponded with Jamie through the internet for a few weeks. He was always helpful and at no time did we feel pressure. Now, we did dealer shop through several dealers in the are. All corresponding with their internet departments. We test drove and narrowed down the car we wanted. We were working with other dealers. But from all the conversations and chats we had with Jamie, he was the only internet guy who was the most straight forward with us.We had a done deal at another dealer, but lets just say the deal did not work out. Jamie, was helpful enough that we agreed over the phone to a price. he sent us an invoice over the email with everything such as fees, price, tax, tag and everything listed. This made the deal easy and fun. We went to the dealer to sign the papers. Everything that was sent to us matched exactly. We had done tons of research and knew exactly what the prices were going to work out to, how much the down payment was going to be, and how much the financing was going to be before going in. When we got there, everything was spot on. The paper work, the financing, everything. It was the easiest car shopping experience we have ever had. I was doubtful of internet shopping at first. But after dealing with Hollywood honda, It was very easy. I highly recommend Jamie Romany, he is easy to work with, polite and very outgoing. He will help you find what your looking for and make it as hassle free as possible. About two months after the purchase. The usb chord was giving us issues. We called service and spoke with Jose Vasquez. I took the car in to get it looked at. They dropped me off at work and took care of the car. Then came and picked me up after they were done. I was skeptical bc the issue was happening on one ipod and then not on the mechanics ipod. However, they fixed the issue and we have not had a problem since. I have to say, I have had great experiences working with this dealer so far. I felt no pressure at any time and everyone was up front and honest. More
Exactly the same thing as bluebillie happened to us in Jun 09 !!! Be careful with the Financial Manager who will tell you that your rate is +2% or more because of your credit. Honda and Maroone shou Jun 09 !!! Be careful with the Financial Manager who will tell you that your rate is +2% or more because of your credit. Honda and Maroone should take this dealer out of business for it dirty tactics. More
My husband and I made a great internet deal through the "internet department" of Maroone Honda in Hollywood. We approached the sale with no-haggle tactics and got the price we wanted on the car. We were en "internet department" of Maroone Honda in Hollywood. We approached the sale with no-haggle tactics and got the price we wanted on the car. We were encouraged to come in to sign papers. That's when the nightmare began. As soon as we got to the dealership, the sales and financing staff threw every sleazy dealer tactic at us that I've ever heard of, plus a few more. We had done our research and read up on some informative sites, so we had answers for everything. First, they tried to tell us that being self-employed wouldn't work with Honda, because they were "sticklers" when it came to financing. We responded that our credit score was excellent, and we got iced (waited) for about 20 minutes. Then, they said we didn't have enough credit. When we pointed out that we had had established credit for over 5 years with a good available credit to debt ratio, they then "realized" they had misread our credit balances, so they'd go back and check interest rates again with that new info. They then came back with a truly horrible offer , longer loan term that we wanted and thousands more down. They gave us the "you're first time car buyers" routine. We wouldn't budge, so they came down on the atrocious financing 2 percent and acted like they were doing us a favor. We then asked if they could do our loan term. He said yes, but the APR would be the same. When we said we wouldn't take it and walked out, the man said "well good luck because you're not ever going to get a better rate." He didn't even shake my hand, and my husband had to force him to shake his. The next morning, my husband received a phone call from a potential lender (we watch our credit reports so these people have to call to verify our identity). The man from this bank was very nice, and though he wasn't able to give the exact amount we were approved for, he gave us a ballpark, and it was EXACTLY what we knew we could get! Then, I received an e-mail from the sales associate who was "so sorry" about the way things had occurred the night before. Miraculously, the APR had gone down another 2 percent, but it was STILL OVER THE BANK AMOUNT BY 2.0%!!! Straight profit for the dealer. After I let them know that I was onto their game, they became very rude and were suddenly "too busy to talk" because it was the end of the month. We haven't heard from them since. Also, after we told them no deal, they still hit our credit with multiple inquiries from some very "non-traditional" loan operations. We are going to have to put a freeze on our credit now because we don't want those checks to turn into full inquiries and drop our score. I am almost relieved that we didn't get further in the process, because who knows what else they would have done to conform to the "sleazy" stereotype. We are happy to move on, and glad we didn't need a car right away, because I can only imagine their "tactics" when they know they have leverage. More
Today my husband and I purchased a Honda Civic SI Coupe from Maroone Honda of Hollywood. I must say that our experience was awesome! At first we were reluctant to go to any Maroone dealership -- we'd previ from Maroone Honda of Hollywood. I must say that our experience was awesome! At first we were reluctant to go to any Maroone dealership -- we'd previously been to Maroone Honda of Miami and had dealt with pushy and rude salesmen (who stereotypically didn't want to show me - a female - an SI, sports model, which is a stick shift). However, they had the car I wanted, in the color I wanted, and quoted me a decent price over the phone. So we went... It was like you weren't dealing with a car salesman or car dealership at all. There was no pressure in the least. No one following you around, hounding you, while you were looking at different cars on the lot. After finding the specific car we were interested in, the salesman was helpful and informative, but never pushed for "working up the numbers" - he never tried to push us into any sort of commitment. After test driving the car we were interested in and having out trade-in appraised, we informed the salesman we were going to shop around and would call him later. There was no pressure to try to make a deal today, no gimmicks to try to keep us from leaving. All in all, our experience was absolutely wonderful. I didn't feel like I had to be on guard at every corner, for fear of being ripped off... the folks at this dealership truly were trust-worthy and helpful. I will definitely do business with them in the future if I am in the market for another car (or to have my new car serviced) and would highly recommend them to anyone!!! If you are looking for a new or used Honda, give these guys a try! The salesman I specifically dealt with is Stu P - ask for him!! He says he's been with the dealership for 11 years, and you can tell he truly cares about his customers. More
