Dealership needs to not play with words, or even lie, leading people to wrong conclusions. I was misled when I purchased the car five years ago regarding the total cost.. I kept asking the sales person f leading people to wrong conclusions. I was misled when I purchased the car five years ago regarding the total cost.. I kept asking the sales person for the TOTAL cost, including fees etc. and assured of the number. Once I was led to where I sign, lots of “necessary” charges were added on. I was also misled regarding the maintenance/protection plan. I was told that every time I entered an Auto nation for anything, it was free because of the $2,138.00 I paid. He mentioned annual oil changes as an example of free. This is not a service contract, but an extended warranty on very major parts only. Their prices are extremely high and when I recently had my cabin filter changed, I was additionally charged for a repair order, although this wasn’t a repair but maintenance. They didn’t even put in an original Honda filter, so I paid their high labor charge and extra repair order charge for nothing. I know now that I am not alone in feeling the bottom line is all that matters. I have 14,528 miles on my car after 5 years. I told the man selling the insurance plan that I pretty much drive around town. I didn’t need an extended warranty plan and he knew it. I submitted a refund for the 5 years remaining on my plan and will go back to a mechanic who will not play games and will charge me a lot less. More
