At first Honda required that you bring the truck to the dealership AFTER the camera failed, before the dealer could order a new wire harness and schedule the second visit for the repair. Thankfully Honda is treating the design flaw as a proper recall and repairing all 2017-2019 Ridgelines without having to wait for complete camera failure and make two trips to the dealer. My backup camera has been failing intermittently and the wire harness is visibly cracked so as soon as I found out about the new repair policy I called AutoNation385 and scheduled an 8am appointment. The service advisor offered to rent me a car since I live an hour away. I declined the rental and waited on the repair. The service advisor said they would do their best to get the truck repaired ASAP. I was very pleased that they were able to complete the repair in 3.5hrs, saving me the cost of a rental car and having to make the 60-mile journey to the dealership multiple times. More
