My wife and I were looking for a new vehicle and had some bad encounters in the greater Memphis area particularly with Honda. I heard that Autonation was the best. As we went to our first meeting we had a w bad encounters in the greater Memphis area particularly with Honda. I heard that Autonation was the best. As we went to our first meeting we had a wonderful associate to approach us Atrienne. The appraisal of our vehicle was complete and then we looked around but there was nothing hardly on the lot. So we then took to the web and saw a beautiful looking HRV. Our hope was to get this ride sooner rather than later considering our appraisal. We had a color and design in mind but the time of completion was so distant that we knew the appraisal would change drastically so we were suggested to get another color that would arrive roughly 4 weeks later. We would not see, drive, or have any physical experience with this vehicle but were asked to put down $500. Upon doing this it would lock us into guarantee to purchasing on arrival. However, there were a few more twist and turns at the dealership on the paperwork they had mandatory packaging included this was a problem for me considering what was the package very minor things at a very high price. My issue with this was as a buyer is let me have the option to choose a package that I deem worthy, if it is mandatory to have one, two, or three things added as incentives. But it was non-negotiable and then the political spill rolls out well you know our competition charges this and that with no benefits because they can. As a consumer please let me know what you can do for me and why your brand has had success only focus on your business I'm not at your competitor's establishment. So we proceeded with the terms and upon signing we asked if this vehicle is delayed "will you honor our quote," they said yes. Time passes buy 4 weeks are up hoping to see the vehicle it is still in production.. 3 weeks post still in production. So I suggested since the wait period has been maturing more and more the color vehicle we really wanted was predicted to arrive at the same time could we get that color instead. The New car salesman says "no you can't and we have had people waiting longer than you have, your lucky we have a tentative date for you two more weeks is the estimated time." Disappointed now for two reasons longer wait equals deprecated value on our vehicle and if it would take this long why couldn't we have gotten the color we sought at first. Our car finally arrived and they want us to pick it up, so we schedule a date my wife and I can meet together. To no one's surprise another appraisal has come and it is lower and the guarantee that we had had dissipated. So now we are in an uncomfortable situation we are $500 in that we found out was none refundable and the deal that would make sense for our finances has changed. If you have never been held up it feels like this someone takes your money and ask you for more and if you walk away you still lose the money plus some of your other valuables. But the most disappointing point was the GM said, "if you don't buy it someone else will." The levels of frustration built up so much because I'm sure other consumers like myself saw the vehicle appreciated it and made offers, but their benefit was have a physical form to see or test without putting money down that they would never get back if they decided that they didn't like it. And the company would benefit from it still so at that point I felt like wow I'm not a valued customer. I tried to negotiate on the price points agreed upon prior but no budge, so my wife as for a fraction just to see if anything would change and the GM says "we want to help and make you all happy." We made the purchase, but the package they sold us all the materials weren't even on the car yet, but they were on back order this also frustrated me alot and the other things were so underwhelming in the package it seemed like this is so unfair and too expensive for what it was. And now when you buy a car the 1st service should be free with a wash that is no longer provided. More
I had an appointment and was serviced as soon as I arrived. I like that I was not made to wait longer. Doug Arnold was my service advisor and he was thorough in going over my vehicle with me. arrived. I like that I was not made to wait longer. I always have to wait too long. I would expect this if I didn’t have an appointment but I did. They book too many appointments for the amount of service employees they have. I blame I would expect this if I didn’t have an appointment but I did. They book too many appointments for the amount of service employees they have. I blame management nit the service employees More
Good salesman low inventory price for vehicles gone out of site. Now if you want a vehicle this is the price period. I was told Auto Nation making a bigger profit now with low inventory than when invento of site. Now if you want a vehicle this is the price period. I was told Auto Nation making a bigger profit now with low inventory than when inventory was much higher. Auto Nation needs to have more for customer especially when writing a check for a car. All I was offered was a bottle of water and I bought a vehicle. Other dealers I went and looked at vehicles had snacks and keep you more comfortable. I was at this dealership over 4 hours. I know there is no inventory to buy from but if Auto Nation is making huge profits like I was told use some of that money in customer service. Make customer more comfortable. More
The whole team at AutoNation Honda 385 was comfortable to talk to. Nothing was pushed onto us, but with a clear and graceful explanation we were inspired to make our own decisions.
