I was able to get my car fixed. It took the time as stated by my agent, Mark. I thought the cost of $2000+ was too much for installing my latch on my hatchback on my 2002 Mercury It took the time as stated by my agent, Mark. The car was advertised as manufacturer certified. When I originally called, the salesman informed me that it still had the manufacturer's warranty which would expire at the end of 2026. We went down and looked at the car, asked again about the warranty, and the salesman confirmed that it only had a 90 day or 4,000 mile warranty, and apologized for his original misstatement. He did let us know he had only been there less than 2 months. Since the salesman was new, there were several questions I asked him that he did not know the answer, and had to go talk to his manager, who was busy with other salesmen, therefore the entire process took longer than it should have. They would not budge at all on the sales price, even though the car was priced higher than the Kelley Blue Book fair market price, and we had only asked for a $300 reduction to come closer to the fair market price. And they would not replace the driver's side exterior door latch, which part of it was missing. I also asked that the car be detailed, including polish and wax, before we picked it up as there were quite a few small scratches in the paint all around the car. This did not happen. They had washed the car, but obviously not polished out the scratches or waxed it. We had to wait an additional 45 minutes while they did the work. They did throw in the first oil change. I can understand there is a learning curve with being new, but it did extend the length of time we were there, along with the car not being ready as we had requested. More
