The service agents at AutoNation Torrance are leaps and bounds friendlier than the team at South Bay Ford. And although I probably purchased what seems to be the worst vehicle that Ford ever manufactured bounds friendlier than the team at South Bay Ford. And although I probably purchased what seems to be the worst vehicle that Ford ever manufactured [brand new Ford Escape 2014; coolant gasket issue left me and my child stranded on 110 freeway express lanes at under 60,000 miles; transmission had to be replaced shortly thereafter - it too left me on the freeway; received recall letters for both items AFTER I had already paid to fix them (a refund would be appreciated) and now the coolant is having an issue AGAIN - I'm sure I'll see another recall notice in the mail AFTER I've paid to fix this too] ... ... at least my exceptional service agent, Julian, was able to leave me feeling like I was an important customer. His energy and demeanor kept the situation from escalating further. So, definitely give Julian a pay increase or something. He is exceptional. I wish he worked for Toyota so that I could purchase my next vehicle from him. He is former military and knows so much about automobile mechanics. I appreciate him sharing a little of that knowledge with me and taking the time to listen to my frustration. This is why there is 5 stars for the dealer. If this were about Ford itself, ZERO stars. And if you can get this message to the manufacturer, I will be buying a Toyota soon, unless Ford can make me whole by refunding me for the above-mentioned expenses. More
Pedro the service rep and the technician were both professional, thorough, friendly and quick. However, the cashier was not helpful and ignored my request for assistance twice without apology, pre professional, thorough, friendly and quick. However, the cashier was not helpful and ignored my request for assistance twice without apology, pretending that she did not have my paperwork and key to close me out so that I could pay my bill and depart. This meant I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for help in order to leave. Fortunately, Pedro was able to assist me in the end. More
I am a 20 year customer at Ford Torrance and have purchased 3 new vehicles during that time. The Service department is clean and efficient. The one problem I have that nobody seems to be able to answ purchased 3 new vehicles during that time. The Service department is clean and efficient. The one problem I have that nobody seems to be able to answer to is regarding Recall 23S02 on my ‘21 Explorer. I have received 3 letters from AutoNation about this Recall over the past 6 months. I brought my vehicle in to have it serviced last month and to take care of the Recall. I was told by Service that the Recall had been put on hold and so they did not perform the work. The next week I got another letter saying I needed to bring in my vehicle for the same Recall. Why would Ford send out so many letters about a Recall and then have the dealership tell the customer the Recall is on hold? Nobody seemed to know at the dealer, including the GM. I am waiting for an explanation I have no confidence I’ll ever get. More
