I recently had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with the service department at Autonation Ford in St. Petersburg. I had high hopes for a smooth and efficient service, but unfortunately, my expectat with the service department at Autonation Ford in St. Petersburg. I had high hopes for a smooth and efficient service, but unfortunately, my expectations were far from met. To begin with, the inefficiency of their service was glaring. I had scheduled an appointment well over a month in advance, providing them with ample time to prepare for the service on my vehicle. However, upon arriving, it was evident that no preparation had occurred. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, resulting in an unnecessarily long wait time. Communication was another major letdown. Despite having made my appointment well in advance, there was a lack of clear communication throughout the entire process. Automated emails were sent, to which I replied to no avail as they were never read. Updates on the status of my vehicle were vague at best. It's frustrating to be left in the dark about the progress of a service I had already scheduled and planned for. What adds insult to injury is that even after this prolonged and disappointing experience, the issues with my vehicle were not resolved, and after three days of waiting, nothing had been accomplished and I picked up my vehicle. It's disheartening to have invested time and money into a service that fell far short of expectations. In conclusion, my encounter with the Autonation Ford St. Petersburg Service Department was riddled with inefficiency and poor communication, even after they had more than enough time to prepare for my appointment. This experience has left me questioning their commitment to customer satisfaction and their ability to provide quality service. At the end of three days of waiting and being strung along with vague status reports, I retrieve the vehicle - as there had been no work accomplished. Needless to say, I will NOT grace them with my presence in the future. More
Went in for an oil change and ended up buying a 2018 jeep wrangler on Saturday July 29th. It had just arrived and had not been through inspection. After inspection I was told I could pick it up on Tuesday August 1st but that it needed a hose replaced but it was drivable until the part came in. After driving it for a couple days we noted the start/stop was not working properly and the check engine light came on. I was told to ask for Kevin when I dropped off my Jeep as Alexis was not going to be there and that it should only take a day. He had no clue I was coming and there was no record of what needed to be done to the jeep. Kevin linked me up with Nick in servicing and I told him my additional problems. Nick took everything down and said he would be in touch. I went without a car until Wednesday. I tried multiple times to get Nick on the phone but was only answered through text “the car is at Dayton Andrew’s and we do not have a loaner”. I called several times. I spoke to Natalie who quite frankly could benefit from some Dale Carnegie courses. She did not listen to my problem, talked over me, and frankly escalated the situation. She told me there was nothing she could do when I explained to her that I was going to have to take $300 in Ubers the next day. I have been in customer/client service my whole life and know there is always something you can do. Finally - I was told I could have a loaner. When I picked it up - it was pretty much on empty - a missed opportunity to win big in the little details. All in all autonation ford had my jeep for 12 of the 17 days I owned it. I felt like I was treated very poorly. I should not have been the one to find these problems out. And i oh nice I did I should have been treated like this was an autonation ford mistake and not mine. This situation could have been handled so much better by 1. Proactive communication - calling me once they realized the car would take one week versus one day. 2. Problem solving - my only concern was how I was going to drive from St.Pete to Tampa to Lutz to Tampa and back to St.Pete 3. Winning in the little details - my gas tank was empty both in the loaner and in my jeep when I finally got to pick it up. After keeping it for a full week - it would have really shown they cared if they did something nice to me. I was hoping to be an autonation ford customer for life but at this point I won’t even come in for the free oil changes. More
I bought my car here and bring it here for all my service needs. I didn’t have an appointment, but decided to swing by and see if they could look at one of my tires. I had a low tire warning, it wouldn’t t needs. I didn’t have an appointment, but decided to swing by and see if they could look at one of my tires. I had a low tire warning, it wouldn’t take any air, and was only reading 12 psi. I had to replace the tire, but they also worked in a much needed oil change and had it all done by lunchtime! More
Due to my urgent need for service, Selim and his team took my car right away to check on what could be done. Unfortunately the part needed wasn't available on Friday. Selim tried to get part on Saturday but it never arrived at dealership. He contacted me right away and even sent an employee to Orlando on Monday to get part and install by late Monday afternoon. I had physical therapy and one other appointment and used family to help. I only wished I had been offered a rental. Not sure if that is Autonation policy but for someone like myself, maybe it should be. Overall, I feel like experience was good. If the part isnt at dealership, not the fault of the service advisor. Selim kept in contact and seemed to work hard to get my vehicle back to me as soon as he could. More

I had a very positive experience with the service department. People were extremely helpful and went above and beyond what I expected. I even had my truck back in less than a week.
