Service a I've had both good and bad experiences with this location. Back in Feb or so I went in to get transmission fluid changed was.yhere 2 hours. Service advisor didn't stay on top of it and come to find out they had new guy who dis not know how to change the transmission. Fluid in a 2013 mustang. I took it few days ago to have oil changed and differential fluid changed. Rick was my advisor very good. However, I called because of squeaking when I went over bumps. Figured shocks struts or something. Well that day I was transferred to Derrick which I left message never called me Called today first guy I got acted like my questio s were some big mystery. I'm not a mechanic but would've either said bring it in or give a couple possibilities. He was a total baffoon. Last time I called they transferred me to Kens answering machine left message explaining I wasn't happy and just wanted to know what the squeaking could be. Still no call. I've been going there since we bought the car 3 years ago. Also I am looking for another car for myself and want to buy my mother one. I most certainly won't be using this place. Speak to few hundred people daily and will also let them know lack of service and integrity More

I had the please of running into Joe, a new salesperson. Joe was kind, courteous and respectful and worked diligently trying to make a deal work. Plus, I enjoyed Joe's passion for cars which were aligned with me. I'll be happy to see Joe again when looking for car's in the future. More
Good sales man / bad management dept. If you want to get a vehicle and AutoNation Ford St Petersburgh, Fl is your closest place, you should know that you can find good deals and good price If you want to get a vehicle and AutoNation Ford St Petersburgh, Fl is your closest place, you should know that you can find good deals and good prices but they are tricky to get you to transfer your registration and plate to the new car and leave you with NO TEMPORARY PLATE/TAG to the vehicle that you went driving in the first place to the dealership...! Keep your eyes open! DO NOT MAKE THE TRANSFER OF PLATE IN THIS DEALERSHIP...at the DMV is only $10.....dealer? they charge you $200. Salesperson that took care of us? Excellent, very nice! Just don’t do any tags or plates, they should give a temporary one for the new car, is illegal to leave the dealer without any plate.... but if you do it with them be aware that nobody is gonna provide a temporary plate for your old car! Very happy with used purchase Overall I'm very satisfied with my used purchase. Communication with the dealer was not the best however I did get emails back within half hour or les Overall I'm very satisfied with my used purchase. Communication with the dealer was not the best however I did get emails back within half hour or less and he did call to let me know that he was the only one there at the time trying to answer everyone. I bought a 2008 Silverado 1500 and it's an absolute beast. They were very clear on showing me what has been done as far as repairs or maintenance and the test drive area was perfect to test all areas of the truck (acceleration, braking, ride comfort, etc) I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a car or truck, because this dealer has nothing to hide. Thank you Barry, Robert, Josh, and John for making this possible! More
Terrible Car Buying Experience We purchased a 2001 Toyota Prius from AutoNation Ford Saint Petersburg on 2/19. I saw the car through the National Educators Association Auto Buying s We purchased a 2001 Toyota Prius from AutoNation Ford Saint Petersburg on 2/19. I saw the car through the National Educators Association Auto Buying site. We came in on 2/18 to test drive. When we said we wanted to check a few other places, we were reminded over and over about the 125-point inspection and given horror stories of "buy here, pay here" lots. We came back later that evening to fill out the paperwork, and we came back for the final purchase the next day when a decent financing offer came through. We were told by the sales team the car was as-is but the financing officer would go over purchasing a warranty (he did not). The salesman Bobby gave us his card and told us to let him know if we needed anything. Initially, we were very happy. However, the car first started to act a little off on four days later (within their 5-day return window). We called Bob and left a voicemail but got no response. We filled the tank, drove home, and it seemed to be fine. We didn't stress that no one called us back, only a little annoyed that I kept my 5 year old up past his bedtime. Five days later, the car died as my boyfriend was driving home on the highway. He started it enough to drive off the highway to a side street. Once again, I took my son in his pajamas to check out the car. We scheduled a tow, but again the car started working after a couple hours and made its way home. My boyfriend brought the car in to AutoNation Ford Saint Petersburg the next day. (This means I was late to work myself because I had to take my son to school). Initially he was told there was nothing they could do. Then, after spending the entire afternoon there, a certified tech performed a diagnostic and thought he might have an idea of the problem. Unfortunately, the Service Department was now closing, and he had to drive the car back across the Bay. He returned the next day and after more waiting, was given a diagnosis and a repair cost over $800. After some discussion, the team settled on $300. Over the six or seven hours he was there, only two people checked in on him the entire time. Once again, the service department was closing, and they needed a part. He was not offered a loaner car. Instead, he was driven to Clearwater Airport where HE had to pay for a rental HIMSELF. He finally made it home around 8:00 PM for the second day in a row. Despite our attempts to reach someone, nobody returned any calls on Friday. On Saturday, after WE called multiple times we finally got the car back. When looking at the records, it says they recommended an air filter and something with a belt but we declined it. In fact, those issues were never brought to us, but it seems strange a vehicle we bought less than two weeks prior would need filters and belts. I understand the car was sold as-is, but we purchased from AutoNation because we thought it was a reputable dealership. I purchased my own car from AutoNation Honda in Clearwater in 2010 and have only positive things to say about my service there. This ultimately cost us $300 plus $250 in lost wages and a $90 rental. Do not buy from this dealer! More
