If i could give a 0 star I would. I never been more disrespected and belittled by someone in my life. Especially by a Manager. I inquired about selling my vehicle, James Hendon responded. He gave me an offer I wasn't happy with. I told him my other offers I had and said take care. He insisted on continuing the conversation. I tried ended the conversation twice. While he continued he told me to “go away” and furthermore told me he personally had a better vehicle then the one I want to sell. Why be so rude to a guest? I don’t know his motive but for him in a TEXT to say “go away” and “you own a base model bronco -- I just sold my 2023 Bronco Raptor, have a swell day” Was mind blowing. Why does it matter who drives what? This isn't a contest, its me trying sell my car. I cant believe AutoNation, a nation wide, known company would allow this man to be a manager and represent them. I will never do business with them ever again. More

I originally schedule an appointment for my 2017 Ford Explorer because there was a leak that I believed was from the windshield but we were not sure if it could also be the sunroof. It was the beginning Explorer because there was a leak that I believed was from the windshield but we were not sure if it could also be the sunroof. It was the beginning of August but we were unable to get an appointment until September 5th. During this wait, the rear hatch door stopped opening and the light on the dashboard was saying that it was ajar, even though it was closed and unable to be opened. We added it to the appointment. My husband and I dropped it off on September 4. On September 5 I received a phone call going over what we asked for. I was told that they could probably not get to my vehicle until the end of week due to vehicle damages that occurred during the recent storm. I work from home, so I was fine leaving my vehicle to accommodate this. On Friday we received a long list of items that were determined to be necessary for my vehicle. I had to call and ask which ones would fix the leak problem and hatchback door. We also had an engine mount and serpentine belt replaced, based on the recommendations. This was about half of the list sent to us but was still going to be over $2500. I was advised that they would not have it done until Monday, at the earliest, and I told them to take their time because I do not need the vehicle anytime soon. When I did not hear anything, I called on Friday (Sept. 15) and was told that it was ready and they thought they had texted me. I told them it was no issue and we would be by the next day to pick up the vehicle. On Saturday, I went to pick up the vehicle and paid $2900. My vehicle was then pulled around. I got into the vehicle and noticed that the dashboard light said that the back hatch was open. I pressed the button to open the hatch and it was not working. I had been charged for this $800+ repair. I turned the vehicle off and went back inside. The employee came outside and could not get the hatch open. He reviewed the summary of work and confirmed that it stated that the hatch was fixed with the replacement part(s). The mechanic that worked on it would not be there until Monday, so I left the vehicle at the dealership. On Monday, September 18, I received a call and was told that the technician thought that the selected option to replace the part was not selected and therefore he had not done the work. AND they have now replaced the part but a larger issue is that the keypad on the side of the car may be short-circuiting the back hatch and may cause it to go out again. They can fix the part for an additional $500. NOW I’m angry. I was charged and there was information regarding the part being replaced on the summary that was provided. Was any of the other work even completed??? And to top it off, they want to charge me another $500? They charged me for something that they did not even do!! They acted as though there was nothing wrong with what had occurred and were trying to get MORE money from me! I told the employee I would talk to my husband and call him back. After talking to my husband we agreed that this is the EXACT definition of sleazy car dealership/mechanic and he would swing by after work, without notice, and examine what was going on. He arrived and had someone walk him through all of the services done on the vehicle, pointing out new parts, etc. Then the employees downplayed the importance of the keypad replacement to him (which was emphasized as very important to me on the phone). My husband got the key for the vehicle and left. We retrieved the vehicle that evening and we will NEVER step foot on that property again. It’s not even worth going back for the 24-month warranty on parts because you just can’t trust them. And honestly, I can scratch any AutoNation dealership or AutoNation service center off my list because I can only presume that this is the business model. More
