I brought my 2017 Escape in for routine scheduled service plus a check on the brakes and wiper blades (I was told at the last servicing that the brakes would need attention by the next service appt). It was VERY busy that day, but I had an 8:30 am appointment. The computers must have been down in the morning as the check in slip was hand written. I never got a call that my car was done, so by 5pm I was calling to check on my car. No one answered the phone, no one answered my text message. Someone finally called back having noted a missed call from me. When I got there, my service agreement had not been applied to the cost. There was no mention of brakes having been looked at. The safety review showed that the brakes were fine (not sure how that changed from the last check). In addition, the following day I called because review of the receipt did not show that the tires had been rotated. They assured me that they had been along with the LOF, but I can't see how they were. My car was due for a wash, so I noted small scuffs in the hubcap rims where the pressure was probably checked, but there was no other disturbance in the dirt on the hubcaps that would indicate they were removed in order to rotate the tires. I can't imagine that you can rotate tires without touching the lug nuts and hubcaps. They DID however go ahead and perform the recall repair that I had been notified of. There is also (see question below) no way of knowing how well a vehicle has been sanitized if you keep it relatively clean to start with. Mickey was my service advisor, however she left early for an appointment. It appears as if no one really covered for her. More
After taking delivery of a 2022 Explorer Platinum, I purchased several items to be installed. After waiting over a month the service appointment, I was informed that day that one of the parts did not ar purchased several items to be installed. After waiting over a month the service appointment, I was informed that day that one of the parts did not arrive and the installation of the other parts would not be possible. The service person Betty had an I don’t care attitude and when I asked why I was not informed beforehand she said it’s not her job and service department does not work with the repair department. I then talk to the service department supervisor and he assured me that I was going to be informed about the delivery of the missing part before the next appointment which was another month wait. Needless to say, I was not informed about the delivery of the part and I had to find out on my own. On the day of the parts installation the service department attempted to charge me for parts I had already purchased I then had to go to the service manager again because Betty was completely uncooperative. My parts were eventually installed, service manager did wave the labor fees because of my dissatisfaction. Although I did not pay for the labor fees, I still will not go back to AutoNation Ford St Petersburg for Service because of the unacceptable customer service I received and when it comes time for the purchase of a new vehicle I will not be doing business with AutoNation Ford in St. Petersburg.
