Very dishonest - avoid at all costs Had our new (2018) F-150 towed in due to an ongoing issue with the battery charge. Truck occasionally just won’t start for a few minutes. We had a di Had our new (2018) F-150 towed in due to an ongoing issue with the battery charge. Truck occasionally just won’t start for a few minutes. We had a diagnostic done at pep boys a couple weeks prior and the readout showed an alternator issue. This weekend, it refused to start and left us stranded for about an hour, at which time we called Ford, had the truck towed to Auto Nation and then rented a car. Auto Nation refused us a loaner until they could get to a diagnosis on Monday. We informed them about the rental and were told we would be reimbursed as long as a problem was found. In the meantime, our Ford decided to start back up again. The tow truck driver was already en route, so we went ahead and had it towed, because we didn’t want to be stranded yet again. Fast forward to Monday and we get a call from a lady named Amanda. She opens the conversation with “your truck is ready”, and of course we asked what caused the problem to begin with. She proceeds to tell us that the battery connection was loose and when the tech pulled on it it popped off. We have checked the battery cables on multiple occasions previously and they were not loose, so 2+2 does not equal 4 here. We explain to her that that does not make sense and let her know that we need a computer print out that we can see which shows that the alternator and charging system is in fact working properly. She begrudgingly went back to the tech to supposedly have him look again. During this phone call, we also let her know that the rear door on the passenger side has a problem with the door lock. Amanda, now clearly angry, repeated back “so there is a problem with the doorhandle “. I responded, “no, there is a problem with the lock, not the doorhandle“. She said OK, and quickly hung up the phone. It was very obvious that she was irritated. 24 hours later, and now four days into paying for a car rental, we followed back up with Amanda, since we have not heard back. She informs us that she decided to go ahead and let the truck sit overnight and see if it would start again in the morning. We asked her about the print out from the diagnostic and she said they don’t have one because they don’t have the capability of doing that. So, we go in to pick the truck up and when we get there, of course the rear passenger door lock is not fixed. When we ask Amanda about it, she becomes very argumentative and tells us that we told her it was the doorhandle. Then she gets mad and stomped off, sending her supervisor to speak with us. During that conversation, it comes out that ford will not pay for a diagnostic if the truck actually starts when it is there, so clearly there was never any diagnostic done in the first place. We wasted four days and paid for a rental car for four days, to get a truck back exactly as it was when we started. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until we are stranded again, and of course the rear passenger door lock is still broken. More

Over the years I have purchased multiple vehicles from AutoNation, usually feeling secure with the inspection process. This was the first time purchasing a car from Ford Sanford and I would never do it again. My Lincoln Navigator was in AutoNation’s possession for 6+ months and Nathan had assured me that it had been put through their in-depth inspection process multiple times. There was a delay getting the car because of a broken tailgate, he specifically told me it was because “they have to do the full inspection again” implying they want to make sure everything is perfect before sending it home. Despite this final inspection, I received the car with the Airbag light on, a missing rear seatbelt and missing back panel that was lost in the repair. Jorge did make false promises, which he later apologized for. I chalk it up to him being new at the time, not much fault here. Nathan however made me very uncomfortable by always providing me with vague empty promises. “Everything is perfect, I just looked” then followed up with we need more time. He did something similar so many times I asked to no longer work with him and to have someone else. In which I never heard from anyone in response. I had to reach out to them to complete the sale with Jorge alone. Ultimately they did fix/replace everything under an extended warranty. It did take multiple trips with 60 min + travel tim each way. They never offered anything to alleviate my time or troubles. Even though I suggested they should. Not even a gas gift card despite driving to them over 5 times. They even gave me a loaner once with a completely empty gas tank. This experience was less than stellar and I do not plan to buy a car from AutoNation again in the future. I would highly suggest doing a through overview of your car prior to leaving, we even found “temp repairs" in the engine bay after the inspection. Which is using a rag to get suction on a vacuum line temporarily instead of clamping it and they forgot. They are creating a false security with their inspection process, and I fell for it. You don’t have to. More

They did a number of favors for me which they were under NO obligation to do. I was buying the car regardless. They are the definition customer service, and definitely went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend. More

He is well versed in all aspects of the selling process. He explained everything to us so that we understood the procedure. He also explained financing and extended service plans. "non negotiating". I came up there to look at a 05 mustang. I few weeks later I was contacted by Karen Morro and she asked me to give her a chance to fix the problem. Well, I have to tell you Karen was one of the most friendliest courteous, and caring people I have ever met. She had just become a manager and I have to tell you I was blown away with the service department after meeting her. Had it not been for Karens caring and outgoing personality I don't think I would have came back. Karen did everything she could to help me get my car fixed and be on my way. Automation Ford is very lucky to have a dedicated employee who really cares about the customers and their vehicle. I want to thank you Karen for everything. and because of you Automation Ford will always have a customer who will come back knowing That I can feel safe knowing you ( Karen ) are apart of the service that is above and beyond and service I have ever had. Offered to even drive us to the mall since servicing the care would take a few hours, since I brought in both cars, but we turned down the offer. One vehicle was purchased at AutoNation of Sanford a few months ago(need to place a review on that after this review) They performed a Multi Point Inspection and the car purchased needed nothing done since it was still up to par since purchased. That made me very happy. Then my car needed an oil change which was past due, the Multi Point inspection on my car turned our great also. I was happy to hear that. I can now relax knowing the car is in very good condition, and will keep up with regular maintenance. Victor and everyone there were very professional, I even had one of your sales person from time to time come and asked me if I needed anything knowing I was waiting for our cars to be serviced. Even had a little conversation with me. The check out lady, which I did not get her name was extremely pleasant also. I've read negative comments of AutoNation and positive ones. I have to say that mine has been a pleasant experience with AutoNation of Sanford. I think people should speak up when things don't go just right so that corrections can be made, but it's equally important to speak up with things go well, and they have gone thus far with me very well. The service area employees were very pleasant along with Victor O. and in the store, just as pleasant-An overall nice experience and will go back to service my car and when in the market to purchase a new vehicle, my first selection will be AutoNation of Sanford because of my good experience there.
