This was my very first time buying a car from a dealership, let alone a new car. So I was worried about feeling pressured into something right away. Kat came out and was extremely friendly, asked what my husband and I were interested in (Ford Fusion) and showed it to us right away as well as some other options (New and Certified Used. Let us test drive the 2012 Fusion on the city roads and the freeway, showed us all the gadgets and explained how they worked. When it came to the end of the visit we explained that we wanted to check out some other places and do a little more research. She understood and didn't make us feel as if we needed to make a decision right away. We were very impressed and decided on the way home that she was who we wanted to deal with and buy a car from. She even took a picture of the car "hidden" in the back of the parking lot, waiting for us, and texted it to us after we called and told her we were going to stop in the next day to work out the details and we wanted the car. She also was able to get us a really great deal on getting the windows tinted. After the financing was taken care of and the car was officially ours, she took us outside and walked us through how to set up SYNC with my phone and how to operate all the other gadgets that were included in the car. 10 days later she did a follow up on how things were with the car and how we were liking it. That day I had woken up to my car being flooded (Half underwater while I was still living in New Orleans, LA at the time). She immediately began looking for a new car, exactly the same as I had, for me. She found a couple different options and emailed them to me for me to choose. Between Kat and the rest of the Mike Shad team I had a new car ready for me to pick up when I moved to Florida 3 weeks later. She had even offered to drive the 8 hour drive from Jacksonville to New Orleans to drop my "new" new car off for me so I didn't have to be without a car. My husband and I will definitely return to Mike Shad Ford and work with Kat again. They for sure have returning customers in us. They are honest, friendly, and will work with you and try to get you the best deal possible. I recommend this dealership and Kat to everyone I know that is looking to buy a car in the Jacksonville, FL area!!!!!!!! More

Max was attentive in approach, very easy going, and warmly mindful of giving the buyer space. Very knowledgeable of not only the lot stock but of the vehicles' features & price points (there were many sales and discounts; it was Black Friday), he made everything go smoothly as he presented the options and guided us through the procedural paperwork. The showroom was clean and though there were a handful of people, noise was non-obtrusive. All the other staff was friendly and professional throughout our time in the lobby. The purchasing manager, Ike, was just as much a pleasure to work with as Max. All in all, it was a surprisingly enjoyable, non-painful trip to Mike Shad Ford of Orange Park. If you want to feel like a person and not just another walk-through your next vehicle purchase, here would be a good place to start, and perhaps resolve, that next investment. More

Ford has some amazing products out but may I suggest buying it from Palm Coast ford. Ike has to be one of the rude individuals I have ever met. First of all, I had already been per-approved through my bank but they had to make me feel out all the paper work so they can check my credit. Next, the used car guy (Jeff) jerked the keys from my hand and bank but they had to make me feel out all the paper work so they can check my credit. Meantime, I went to the parking lot to look at a similar car, since I never saw the inside or test drove the one I was doing all the paper work for.... Then an older guy, with a sun hat on in his 80's hits the alarm when I was looking inside the car through the window and told me to look at another one because he is driving it for the day. Now I am getting really upset with the xxxx poor customer service so I went back inside. Jeff came back with the trade offer which was 2000 dollars less then Kelly Blue Book value under the fair selection. He was an xxx about it and in front of customers he started saying my car was poorly taken care of... Jeff, handed my keys and said well have a nice day he has other customers to make deals with. As I get home, I start getting emails stating they have decided to give me what I ask for on my trade in... ARE YOU SERIOUS? Horrible Horrible Horrible... More
