Went to pick my truck up and waited 30 minutes to be checked out. My service advisor was to busy but another advisor was wonderful enough to check me out. 2 days later I noticed the security key for my checked out. I like to arrive early and wait for basic service and my most recent visit for an oil change and tire rotation plus safety check went very well. This is the final straw in my disgust for Auto Nation Service Department. I brought my truck in for service on the AC system knowing exactly what was wrong. I knew the hours required, the details etc. Service Department. I brought my truck in for service on the AC system knowing exactly what was wrong. I knew the hours required, the details etc. The service department came in with an estimate over $2500 at 11.5 hours of labor. This was way over what I knew what was required. With this they insisted on charging me $156.46 telling me what was wrong (which I knew) and no consideration of lower that. We have been buying 4 at of the last 5 cars from this dealership and were treated like nothing by the guy checking us out. We ended up using someone else who charged us for 5 hours of labor, used Genuine Ford Parts for under $1400. They even showed us what they replaced and what they replaced with, including a part AutoNation didn't even know needed fixing. Can't imagine what that would have added to the bill. My history with the service department has been mixed, but two other occasions when they damaged my tire after working on the brakes, (They blamed me), tires are not cheap - and even worse was when they gave me an estimate many years ago for a loud noise in my SUV, gave an estimate of $1500, I declined, took it to a local repair shop for oil change, they were irritated by the noise and fixed it with an $8 part. No Labor. Good luck Auto Nation, you have lost a 20 year plus customer. It's a shame your ego's are getting the best of your treatment of customers. I guess ignorant customers will still use you. I will give credit to Ashley for trying to help, she was kind, seemed caring, and was very nice. The guy who checked us out was condescending and demeaning. More
