In the past, I have posted good reviews for this dealership (and an Advisor named Stephen). Unfortunately, my most recent experience is not of the same caliber. I bought a 2017 Ford Escape from dealership (and an Advisor named Stephen). Unfortunately, my most recent experience is not of the same caliber. I bought a 2017 Ford Escape from AutoNation Ford Frisco for my daughter and added an extended warranty. Recently, her a/c compressor went out...which is covered in the extended warranty...so I brought it to the dealership. I was surprised to find out that while the warranty company covered the compressor...they did NOT cover the other parts of the system that must be replaced (expansion valve, evaporator/dryer and such) when you replace the compressor (these need to be replaced because if there is any contamination in them, it will destroy the new compressor). Those were not covered which meant that I had to pay for them to the tune of ~$1800. The dealership folks were not surprised (they have experienced this with other customers) but to me, that's not the point. They are selling a sketchy product (the warranty) that they know is not of a very high standard. But that's not all... ...it took over 4 WEEKS to get this repaired. Fortunately for my daughter, my wife and I were available to help her get to and from work. But what happens to a young person who doesn't have that kind of support? (BTW - she's too young to rent a car) Lose their job? Rack up even more costs with Uber? I get that labor is an issue...but that's a problem for the dealership, not the customer. The only (for now) silver lining is the people who work in the Service Department. Naomi, Obi and the actual mechanic (Great quality...not sure of his/her name) are fantastic. That's the good news...the bad news is that they're hobbled by the things mentioned above. One last point: When I bought my daughter's car this year, my wife needed a new car too. So, I bought 2 cars (ouch) at the same time. My wife's new 2022 Ford Explorer did not come with a "folio" (you know, that folder that all your warranty & User Manuals goes into). The sales team couldn't get me one so I reached out to the dealership's General Manager (Jason Kopp). Jason informed me that he would get me one...and after numerous calls & emails...nothing. At some point, he just stopped responding to me (I'm a digital packrat...so I have every piece of correspondence). My perception is he was hoping I would just get tired and give up...and he isn't exactly wrong! Career and family comes first, so I did give up. But, I haven't forgotten and considering this latest experience, I want to add it here. Jason and the management at AutoNation Ford Frisco: Do better. More

Autonation Frisco On 7/20/2023 I went to purchase a Ford Bronco at AutoNation Ford Frisco, TX. When the salesman Roberto had shown me the Bronco, I asked how much, he said $68k. Ok.. we go back inside, star Bronco at AutoNation Ford Frisco, TX. When the salesman Roberto had shown me the Bronco, I asked how much, he said $68k. Ok.. we go back inside, start doing all the financing paperwork. Waiting, waiting. I was beginning to get impatient because I had been on the road for 4 hours that day plus had my daughter with me who was bored. When the salesman walked back around I had stopped him to get an update on what was taking so long. He informed me that they were having trouble finding financing for me since I had never had such a high vehicle loan before. I questioned him, I said $68k? I had previously financed a vehicle that was in the $50k.. not much of a difference. He said it was $78k. I said you told me it was $68k, he then told me it was but you have to add the tax, title and license. I said $10k for TTL? He said yea. I thought that was pretty high, but brushed it off and told him I was ready to go, can we speed up the process. While waiting I was asking about the vehicle, and removal of the hardtop. I was told that the vehicle came with a bag for the top and doors. After some more time, they finally got me approved but only if I put $20k as a down payment. I thought this was outrageous. After some more time with them trying to find another bank approval, they couldn’t so I was stuck with the one and only approval. Went to the finance managers office. I put the $20k down. Rush through and signed the papers to get out of there, at this time the dealership was well past closed. I was told I couldn’t get all my paperwork until I mailed the title in for my trade in. I was ok with this, he said he would mail me the remainder once he received it. Couple days later we made our 3-4 hour drive back home. Life resumed back to normal, I was checking out my new Bronco, realized there were no door bags.. only the top bag. And I was thinking about reviewing the few papers I did have. I started calculating and TTL was not $10k.. and the vehicle price was not $68k because that would mean I only financed $58. The financial institution had financed the full $68k. So I called to question what was going on, I figured maybe there was some sort of typo, or mistake in the paperwork. I put $20k down so that meant this vehicle was now costing me $88k I spoke with Jeff Vasquez. Told him my concerns, and what I was told. He assured me he was going to speak with the manager and Roberto. He called me back and HE OFFERED to get me the door bags, due to the misunderstanding with the salesman. And told me that there was actually a $12k markup on the vehicle due to the demand. I was not aware of this markup. And was really upset that not one single person had mentioned a markup. But was ok with their peace offering on the door bags and was ready to move forward. During this conversation he informed me that my vehicle was suppose to have tinted windows, however it did not, I asked him if he would reimburse me for that, he confirmed that he would, just had to be legal tint, and I needed to send him the receipt for reimbursement. After his offering he informed me he would give me these things ONLY IF I gave a 5 star review on the email they sent and on google. I did the review as he said. I was upset about the circumstances but pleased they were being proactive in trying to have a happy customer. Since I have left the review I have tried contacted Mr Jeff Vasquez numerous times via text, cell phone and dealership.Sent him the receipt for the window tint. He said he would get the check cut. I have checked the mail every day for the door bags and the check. I requested a tracking number for the bags. And the date the check was mailed. And have NOT received either. The majority of the time my messages are getting ignored, I have called the dealership, and he won’t take my calls, and does not call me back. Still no check, no response, no date on when the check was mailed, no tracking number for the bags More
