I purchased a "FORD Gold Certified" preowned vehicle. While my wife and I are happy overall with the vehicle we are less than happy with the dealership. It started when we took the car back to get detail While my wife and I are happy overall with the vehicle we are less than happy with the dealership. It started when we took the car back to get detailed the day after buying it as we purchased it late the day before. We dropped it off and they literally just washed the car and put tire dressing on. There was still trash inside, evidence of a fluid spill with left over (what I presume was soda) in the cup holder, cup stains in the front cup holders, the back passenger set fold and slide function doesn't operate properly, fluid stains on the passenger seat and we noticed condensation inside the headlights and fog lights which should not happen on a vehicle that is 2 years old with 12k miles on it. I notified the sales person via email with pictures of issues and got no response back until I got a phone call a couple days later asking how everything was going in which I informed him of my displeasure with the detail performed and email that I had sent to him that he hadn't checked yet. He did offer me a tank of gas for me having to clean the inside of the car out. Which at the time was ok. Now fast forward to the first weekend of owning the new vehicle and I decide to wash and wax the vehicle to ensure it is protected from the elements and low and behold I notice 2 lug nuts missing and these are not just the normal run of the mill lug nuts these are the aftermarket locking lug nuts for the passenger side wheels. So I drive up to the dealership to speak to a manager who had me take it around to the service department to have them look at getting new ones and installing some in the mean time. To me this is a huge safety issue and mind you this was a "Ford Gold Certified" vehicle. After talking to the salesman that sold us the vehicle a few days prior he asked me to bring the car in at 8 on Monday morning to have the car looked at. So I took the day off and brought the car up to which I was asked to leave the vehicle for a couple of days because I didn't have an appointment I couldn't do that as my wife needs a car when I am at work. So I scheduled an appointment for Thursday so we will see what happens. More
