This issue has been probably a seven month long ordeal, I have an exhaust manifold leak. I scheduled my truck to be looked at around 58k miles for a ticking noise. When I arrived they said that this was only have an exhaust manifold leak. I scheduled my truck to be looked at around 58k miles for a ticking noise. When I arrived they said that this was only for an oil change which I just had about 1,000 miles ago. I would have to schedule another appointment to have this looked it and they would need the truck for a couple days. Of course the appointment is months out, so I bring it back in at 64k miles now its out of warranty. They don't have the parts and call me later to say come get the truck this is after I was told to rent a car for three days. October 23 they receive the parts after a few months on order, I make the appointment to get my truck back in for today December 11th at 9:00 AM. On December 10th I get a text hat says "your requested appointment for your 2019 Ram 1500 on 12/11/2023 at 09:00 at Autonation Dodge Ram Broadway has not been confirmed by the dealership. Please call the dealership to confirm the appointment." So I start calling about 7:45 AM to ask what's going on, I talk to a lady and she says there's nothing for you on the books and transfers me to someone else. I leave a message. I continue to call about every 30 minutes. Finally at 10:30 AM i talk to someone in service and he says you had an appointment at 9:00 and now its 10:30. I tell him about the text and he says we aren't open on Sundays and it didn't come from us. I said I have a text chain of this entire deal for months now and its from you guys. He then starts telling me they new nothing about this and nothing will be covered by warranty. This dealership is totally untrustworthy! More
The repair and warranty work was well done. The electronic method of communication (text and email) is OK but should not be used to replace the actual service advisor communication. The service process here really needs to be improved. I made a service appt a full month prior. Day of the appt, as I drop off the car, they tell me “we’re running 3 days out on appts”. In other words, they won’t even look at my car for 3 days. What in the heck did I even make an appt for then? Do u even understand what an appt is? In my case, the car isn’t my daily driver, so I could afford the vehicle down time. Probably not the case with most people. More
When the service tech offered to rotate tires, I declined & told him that the tires were new just two weeks ago & I did not want the tires rotated. But the tires were rotated anyway, while I waited.
