The paint job on the hood of my truck was ok, although it was a slight shade different from the rest of it. But I can understand that due to the truck’s age. Here’s the things I can’t understand! Why no o was a slight shade different from the rest of it. But I can understand that due to the truck’s age. Here’s the things I can’t understand! Why no one EVER called to update me on the progress of my vehicle. And before I ever dropped the truck off I asked how long it would take from start to finish to complete everything, and was told about three weeks. It took 10 weeks and NEVER got an update unless I called. My new windshield still has some kind of rough residue that they left on it that I can’t get off. My Key Fob was a sticky mess. And lastly, when I went to pick it up after they FINALLY notified me it was done, the manger of the collision center handed me all the paperwork and right on top of the stack was a review, which I was supposed to do, but wouldn’t you know someone else had already filled it out for me. And of course everything was rated a 10 or whatever the highest score was. You know, it takes nerve to do that. I figure all the paperwork goes on to the manager/director so he/she can see just how good of a job they did. I think it takes a seared conscience for a business to do a customers review of them, give themselves a perfect score and then have it go to management or whomever. More
I was unable to respond positively to any of the questions on the dealer's survey and contacted Joe, the head of the collision department as instructed. There was no communication from the center d questions on the dealer's survey and contacted Joe, the head of the collision department as instructed. There was no communication from the center during the 3.5 weeks of my car being there. When I took the initiative to call for updates, I was told I would receive a callback. When I called and was told my car was ready, there was a device with a cord on the dash. Both front windows were down. The interior including the entire dashboard and front doors were covered with what appeared to be a white dust along with white smudges. The left side of the rear bumper was not aligned showing chips of missing paint. Additionally the paint at the top of the panel that was damaged had not been blended/buffed. Joe told me that it would cause further chipping. He told me that he would arrange for a rental car the issues would be resolved. He also told me that I would receive a call once they secured a rental. Two weeks passed without notificatio. I called and received a call telling me to bring it in the next morning on Tuesday. I received notice that my car was ready. The left side of the bumper that wasn't aligned had been corrected but the chipped paint was not corrected. There was also a blur of paint just below the area about 8x5 inches. My direct experience with Devon who was over the repair was condescending claiming that what appeared on the slender silver portion of trim on both front doors was there when they got my car; however, it was clear that this too was a result of the paint spray across the dash. It had dried on the trim. While they had done some detailing of their own volition, the trim was visibly damaged. My car was dirty when it arrived at the shop and I had no expectation of it being detailed even though I had been trying to find someone at the time. I've had experience with several collision repairs in the Austin area and Tomball. To say the least, my experience with Waco Auto Nation Collision was shockingly disappointing as well as was Devon's condescension towards me. More
