I made an appointment 2. 5 weeks in advance to bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service. I left it on a Wednesday morning, and it still had not been diagnosed by late Frid 5 weeks in advance to bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service. I left it on a Wednesday morning, and it still had not been diagnosed by late Friday afternoon. I came to discuss this with the service department on Monday (5 days later). The service support lady looked up my car and said that it was diagnosed with a catalytic converter problem, and it would be $2100 to fix it, and she offered me to do financing. She sent me to my service advisor, and I asked him if my original problem (car not starting properly on the first try) was ever the result of a catalytic converter issue. He said "no." He further stated that my car hadn't been diagnosed for the problem yet because the mechanic couldn't replicate the car not starting upon ignition. (This has been a routine problem for the last 6+ months). I said to try starting 100 times straight, it would fail. He said he didn't have time to do that and had other cars to work on. (It takes maybe 5 minutes to attempt to start it 100 times). Meanwhile, I have been paying $40/day for a rental car for a week now with no results or progress or answers. I escalated the problem to a Manager on Monday, but my service rep didn't call me/text me on Tuesday or Wednesday to give me an update. There are many problems with this experience; 1) if I have to wait 2.5 weeks just to get an appointment, why isn't the dealership ready to service my car from day one when I bring it in? 2) Why is the service support person telling me (with confidence) that the catalytic converter is my problem when it has nothing to do with the car starting and staying on? 3) After escalating the problem to a Manager level, why hasn't my service rep bothered to contact me for 2 days to let me know the status? 4) in this day and age, why can't the dealership, through diagnostic testing and/or experience/intuition figure out xxx is wrong with vehicle? I was able to show my service advisor Exactly what the problem was when I brought it in for service. 5) there is little-to-no consideration for the rental car cost of $40/day which is much higher than it used to be, as there is really no active progress on my service request. 6) the oil change was priced at $54 on the online service appointment page so I requested it, but when I got to the dealership they charged me $95 for the oil change. The dealership said that a lot of customers are annoyed with this, and the dealership has requested the online appointment website change the pricing. Why doesn't the dealership alert you to this verbally when you come in the door? In the end, I paid over $650 (service and rental car) for an oil change and absolutely no result for what is wrong with my vehicle. To make things worse, the problem started showing up again the evening that I took it back from the dealer. It doesn't get much more annoying and frustrating than this. More
After several weeks of looking and narrowing down the cars I was interested in, I decided to make the drive out to Valencia (about an hour away) and it was ABSOLUTELY worth it! Not only were they the only dealership that had the EXACT car I was looking for, they by far had the most competitive pricing! From the moment I pulled into the lot, we were greated with smiles. Everyone was very down to earth and it didn't feel 'salesy' at all. I had spoken with Jonathon Booth over the phone before I came and he had the car I was interested in washed and pulled up waiting. My husband and I had our 2 young daughters with us at the time and the entire staff was incredible and accommodating with them. The kids actually enjoyed the entire experience! We were all so comfortable there! What a different experience than I have ever had at any other dealership. I also was able to seamlessly trade in my Infiniti lease to them. It was so easy! We left feeling great with our purchase of a NEW JEEP Grand Cherokee L, feel like we got a GREAT deal, had the BEST sale team to deal with and I am OBSESSED with my New car! Thank you Jonathan Booth and the entire team at AutoNation Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Valencia!! It was the most easy, relaxing and stress-free car buying experience I have ever had! I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation and found out my lug nuts needed to be replaced. The lugs weren't cheap and it was totally unexpected but I gave the dealership the benefit of the d and found out my lug nuts needed to be replaced. The lugs weren't cheap and it was totally unexpected but I gave the dealership the benefit of the doubt and told them to go ahead. 1 week later my vehicle was ready. It took longer than I thought because the aftermarket wheel spacers on my vehicle had a different thread pattern so it was partly my fault. They had to special order a set and also worked with me on the price and went through all the leg work to get the correct lugs. Ariana was very communicative and let me know the status of my vehicle every step of the way. More
