I scheduled this appointment during a week off where we would not need the vehicle to commute to work. Timing was fortunate. The headliner panel was falling from the roof, simple enough fix. Less than 30k would not need the vehicle to commute to work. Timing was fortunate. The headliner panel was falling from the roof, simple enough fix. Less than 30k miles, so under warranty. While there I wanted a spray in bedliner, oil change, and inspection. The spray in liner went well and quick, completed on day one. After that things basically stopped. I was repeatedly asked (when there was any communication at all) if the headliner was installed when I purchased the vehicle. to which I repeatedly (at least four different occasions) answered that yes it was. (fully loaded Gladiator with matching interior headliner, not really rocket science here). For over a week the service technician had very spotty communications and only seemed worried about that one fact, and not on fixing it. The week went by and I still had no real update on anything other than the bedliner being done (of course right? It's not warranty work, so it's the one thing they'll make money on, so that's all they appeared to care about). I got home, and after 9 days with still no actual updates, I called. No answer. I left a voicemail, no return call. So I texted (again I might add) and asked wat the actual issue was. He said the adhesive had given out. I asked are the technicians incapable of simply applying new adhesive? He did not reply. Again. So I stated that I would be picking up my vehicle. The oil change had been completed (or so they said at least, never know with these places), and it still needed the inspection, but would be completed shortly. And it was. I went in the next day to pick up my vehicle, and in the three minutes of talking to another service member I learned that there were clips broken, a new headliner needed to be ordered, it was on back order (and slow due to the idiots on strike thinking they need CEO salaries and golden work uniforms). So I had more information in those few minutes than I received in the 9 days they had my vehicle. No clue why Sean couldn't communicate this simple fact. So the main point of dropping the vehicle off was never really addressed at all. I can see why the reviews for this dealership aren't great. To be fair they're a large dealership and slightly understaffed, but that's no excuse for extremely poor communications and ignoring the customer completely. The other service technician that was there when I picked up my gladiator seemed very communicative and forthcoming, but it's hard to trust a dealership at all, much less after they've wasted over a week of your time and left you with the same broken issues and no options for resolution. Will I got back? Maybe for simple routine service. But it's doubtful I'd trust them with anything more complex than a simple oil change at this point. And after looking at the headliner, it's a simple matter of just using adhesive to stick it back to the roof. Anyone with two active brain cells to rub together could've done it with a tenth of the effort the service tech put into to trying to prove me a liar about the headliner being a factory install to begin with. Unfortunate overall since the first time I dropped my jeep off for simple upkeep they were exceptionally accommodating. More
Service Advisor Daniel Wood went the extra mile toward replacing the tires on my Durango. He will definitely be my go-to guy for all service needs in the future. Threes was a lot of miss communication between the advisor I had and what the manager was saying. Lead to a confusing situation where I ended up pulling the vehicle. advisor I had and what the manager was saying. Lead to a confusing situation where I ended up pulling the vehicle. More
Car was sent to Autonation maintenance shop for replacing the serpentine belt and the pulley August 12, 2022 I was called on September 6, 2023 two picked up September 6,2023. When I picked up the car no on the serpentine belt and the pulley August 12, 2022 I was called on September 6, 2023 two picked up September 6,2023. When I picked up the car no one had check to make sure the car was safe to drive. I asked one of the service ladies and Juan if they could run a diagnostic check on the car before I pick it up to ensure that there’s nothing else wrong with the car .All four tires had no air. The reading was 29 and 30 psi a jeep wrangler requires at least 37 to 42 psi in which my car didn’t have.I had to go to the gas station to try to put air in the tire to no avail because the gas station only have air up to 32 psi. So we went to a flying J on 242 to fill up the tires to full psi. The car was driving funny from the day I picked it up which was September 8, 2022 on Friday. I thought this was due to the fact that I had no air in my tires. So on Saturday we rode around to allow the air and nitro to expand, and also to see if the car was gonna ride different. The car is still riding funny but at this time the dealership was not open on Saturday night nor Sunday. Received a call from a gentleman name Juan asking me how the car was driving. I explain to him that something was wrong with the car because it’s was driving funny. I was thinking it was because I haven’t driven my jeep in a while Juan then told me to drive the car for the rest of the week to see if anything will change. On September 13 I called Juan I told him there was something definitely wrong with the car and this time he told me to bring it in we agreed on Saturday. Thursday morning on my way to work. My car stop it sound like grinding metal and I almost got hit by 18 wheeler on Homestead. Imagine looking in your rearview mirror to see an 18 wheeler heading towards you East Mount Houston. I cringed as I watch the 18 wheeler attempt to stop on his breaks. The 18 manage to slow down and swerving into the next lane. Once clear I got out the car raised the hood and took a look at the damages. It was the serpentine belt, and the pulley that damaged the wire, hornist and the alternator I had a mobile mechanic, take a look at the car while we were stranded on the side of the road for four hours, waiting on the tow truck and was told that there was a screw missing off the pulley. Which caused the pulley to shred the serpentine belt again damaging the pulley wiring, as well as the alternator. I spoke to several people at Autonation James, the Director of service he agreed that his mechanic dropped the ball. And they will be talk to him he also stated that all managers we have to check the car before giving back to void this from happening again. He also stated that when he tried to pull something on the car and and there was no tension. I was also told that he will reach out to sales to help trade me out the jeep because I explain to them that I didn’t feel safe with them fixing the car and they wanted me to continue to drive it . I have completely lost faith in their mechanics as their negligence put me in harms way. So one of the sales gentleman by the name of Jose reached out to me to help me look for a new car to trade with He told me that the manager told he don’t worry about it, that he will work with the numbers and no matter what he would help me get a new vehicle. Jose, also told me when I asked about how they would do the trade out with the leasing company he told me no worries we’re going to act like nothing never happened. On Friday, September 29, 2023. I spoke with Jose and now he’s saying that they’re not able to help me More
