My last service experience was not good at all. Despite having an appointment for an oil change, I was told the wait would be 2 hours. I waited for over 2 hours and then checked on the status of my Despite having an appointment for an oil change, I was told the wait would be 2 hours. I waited for over 2 hours and then checked on the status of my vehicle. I was then told that the work was just about to begin and would take another 35 minutes. I was not given any status updates prior to that, and was not informed that my wait would be longer than 2 hours. Since I had other appointments that day, I asked for the work to be completed as quickly as possible, which meant going without the multi-point inspection. I ended up being at the dealership for 3 hours, instead of the 2 hours I was expecting. My time was not treated as valuable. If I agree to wait for 2 hours, it doesn’t mean I have 3 hours available. Furthermore, when I checked in for the service appointment, I asked if they could take a look at the center console USB outlet, which is currently not charging. I was told that I would have to leave the vehicle there for 5 days and that there were no loaners available, and wouldn’t be, even if I tried a different date. I was also told that, if it turned out to be a blown fuse, that would not be a warranty item, and that I would have to pay the cost of diagnosis. This is just not acceptable. The vehicle is still under warranty, and an issue like that should be fixed under warranty. Whatever the reason. Period. My 2020 Ram Rebel 1500 is the 17th vehicle I’ve owned over the last 30+ years. I have to say that this is one of the worst and most frustrating service experiences I have had in all that time. What I experienced, and what I was told about a warranty repair was simply unacceptable. More
