Service department was very disappointing. I arrived early to my appointment, only to be greeted by a less than welcoming woman, and told it would be 2-3 days until they looked at it. Why hav I arrived early to my appointment, only to be greeted by a less than welcoming woman, and told it would be 2-3 days until they looked at it. Why have an appointment if you are not looking at it for days? I agreed, and continued the check in process. She went to check my vehicle with a device that plugged in, and when she returned she said I have a check engine light. I did not have a light when I got there. She then presented me with a quote for $629 for diagnostic fees if the 3 minor issues were not covered under warranty, one of which being the new issue of a check engine light. I asked if there was any information about the warranty that would help me understand what to expect. She said no. I said you provided the warranty, don't you know what is covered? She just gave me a number to call, very unhelpful. I understand it is a 3rd party, but if Auto nation provides it at the sale of the vehicle, I would think they could give some information. I decided to leave and not get service. I went home and pulled the check engine fault code. It was a fault with bcm communication. I was able to reset it and it has not returned. My reader does not give me time stamps of the code or I would be escalating this with them. Whether accidentally or deliberately, I believe they caused the check engine code. Long story short, not friendly, not helpful, and questionable practices (why did she have to plug anything in at all?) I will not return. More
