My biggest complaint is the two hours or so I had to wait to get into the finance department. Although the finance manager was very nice, the dealership was poorly prepared to handle the people who are waiting to get into the finance department. I would've expected that they would've been better prepared knowing it was the last day of the month. More

We are a family of 9, our vehicle needs are quite unique. My primary vehicles were a 12 passenger Nissan NV and a Torrent. To decrease how many large purchases we were having to make at once, I wanted something I could use as a daily that could also fit all of use. Alas, the 9 passenger, 3 bench seats, fold down center console, with a bench 2nd row vs captions chairs. I spent the better part of 2 weeks relentlessly searching. I came across one at Autonation in West Austin, 6.5 hours away. Albert reached out to me promptly, he immediately offered to take pictures himself and send them to me. He was understanding of our unique situation and made it all happen. We flew into Austin and left the dealership with our Suburban in under 2 hours. Albert, his colleagues, the manager, the finance, all went above and beyond. The service was so well we may just go back, it was worth the flight and drive. After 2 weeks of building our lives back from the ground up, they sure made this a stress free experience. More
Working with Jeremy was the best car buying experience I’ve had in years! No pressure, knowledgeable and friendly. Could tell he genuinely cared. Would definitely buy another car from him! My husband had already worked out the deal so really all that was needed was to do the financing app and purchase paperwork. The finance manager John started working on the paperwork and stated multiple times “ I wouldn’t have done this deal but someone else put it together. I'm losing money on this car”and his attitude matched this through out the entire interaction. We went back and forth over the tint and dent package, but John refused to remove either package even though the front window tint was poorly done. We wanted to buy the car, so we decided to go ahead with the purchase even though the poorly done “extras” were going to be part of the deal. Half way through the paperwork, after both parties had signed off on the final number, John came back with his “fantastic” attitude to tell us that one of the rebates wasn’t working. His options were pay the extra $1000 or come back tomorrow. We drove over an hour one way to get to the dealership, so driving back was not a valid option. We were told over the phone that the rebates were good to go. We told John we weren’t paying the extra $1000 and that he needed to honor the deal that both parties signed off on. His response was it’s only an extra $25 a month. John’s customer service was so poor that we decided the car wasn’t worth dealing with someone who demonstrated throughout the entire interaction that they had no desire to compete this agreed upon deal. We asked for all our information back and while walking out the door they tried to stop us from leaving with the completed credit application. That was our personal Information and based on how we were treated by John we did not trust the dealership with the information. We moved on from this vehicle even though it had all the options we wanted and started looking for other Blazers with the same options. Unfortunately, AutoNation was the only one with this car. Friday someone reached out apologizing for how everything went down Wednesday. They offered to waive the tint package for the poorly done tint if we’d come back. We stupidly agreed to come back once they confirmed that all of the discounts equaled what we were originally promised. We made the drive back and bought the car. After the disaster that happened on Wednesday we opted to not finance the car and wrote a check. This should have been the last time we talked to anyone at AutoNation. 12 hours later we get a call from Steve. Steve and John must have studied customer service together. Steve was calling to let us know that he ran our check and it was declined. He stated that he could not run it through the system again, this was a bold face lie. My husband agreed to call the bank and see what this issue was. If the issue was on our side we agreed to meet someone in Buda with a new check. He then said “ bring in a cashier’s check today or Monday and we’ll leave it at that”. Implying that we were trying to write a hot check. We immediately called our bank who told us this check had never been presented for payment. The check was never presented so he had no way to know the status of the check and had absolutely no right to claim that we were trying to pass a hot check. The only criminal thing that occurred this week was how poorly AutoNation handled this whole transaction. We called him back and told him the information that our bank had told us. He then said he'd run it through the system one more time. I’m not sure if the system was down or he didn’t know how to use it but he was still getting the same error. Since the error was not on our side we agreed to meet someone from the dealership at our bank in New Braunfels to get a cashiers check. If you are looking to buy a car I would highly recommend that you buy it literally anywhere else. I would have paid more for the same car if I could have bought it from anywhere but Autonation. More
