From the beginning to the end of my experience purchasing a vehicle from these guys was amazing. Service Department bait and switch. In May 2025 I received an estimate for the replacement of the front struts at about $200 per unit. When I approved the work order in August of this In May 2025 I received an estimate for the replacement of the front struts at about $200 per unit. When I approved the work order in August of this year they accepted my Chevrolet Tahoe for work. When the car was ready, the service advisor advised me by voice that the unit cost of the struts increased to $900 per strut. His explanation was that the parts department made a key stroke error when inputting the part number. So Autonation Chevrolet West Austin expected me to pay more than $1,400 more for the work order. They indicated that they could lower the unit cost to $600 per unit. I refused the attempt by Autonation Chevrolet West Austin to extort by BAIT AND SWITCH and the service advisor instructed the technician to reinstall the original struts. I may get my Chevrolet Tahoe back tomorrow The behavior exhibited by this Dealership is reprehensible and affects the image of Chevrolet dealerships. The only reason that the rating is two stars instead of one is that Autonation Chevrolet West Austin got me a loaner car for which I am grateful. More

I recently purchased a vehicle through the Houston location—completed all legal paperwork, finalized financing, received my metal plates, and went to pick up the vehicle from the Austin dealership ra location—completed all legal paperwork, finalized financing, received my metal plates, and went to pick up the vehicle from the Austin dealership rather than waiting a week for delivery. However, when I arrived, I was informed that the car had been sold to someone else after my purchase had already been finalized. I spent over four hours at the Austin dealership with my father and three young children, and we were essentially ignored the entire time. The general manager never once came out to address us or acknowledge the situation. I had to enter his office three separate times just to get any kind of communication. The sales manager was a bit better but simply said, “I don’t know what to tell you” when he discovered the mishap that morning. By the end of the whole debacle, he was a more present and helpful. The person who has earned my respect and future business was Mr. brooks, a salesman who wasn’t even part of my original transaction. He listened to my concerns, kept me informed, and advocated for me to receive the vehicle that I had legally purchased. Without his efforts, this situation could’ve ended very differently. The professionalism and empathy received from him was refreshing. In the end, both dealerships were at fault—Houston should have pulled the vehicle from the online inventory once it was sold, and Austin failed to respond to emails confirming its availability before selling it again. This was a clear internal miscommunication that never should have affected the customer, especially one who had already completed the sale. Now, I’ve been sent a generic email by the general manager asking about the services received—so here it is. The lack of accountability and customer care I experienced was unacceptable. I hope both locations take this as a wake-up call and do better for the next family who walks through their doors. More
