My parents called for directions from about a mile away and were sent the wrong direction - while they sold the vehicle to someone else. There was no call to let them know, and barely an apology for sending them an extra hour drive for no reason. More
Appointment for recall inexplicably blown I made an appointment and drove 35 minutes each way for a Chevrolet Impala recall that can affect airbag deployment. Chevrolet indicates the problem i I made an appointment and drove 35 minutes each way for a Chevrolet Impala recall that can affect airbag deployment. Chevrolet indicates the problem is solved with the application of anti-abrasion tape, inspection (not requiring removal of seat according to Chevrolet), and, if needed, replacement part. Ended up wasting an entire afternoon (and more that is not their fault) and they couldn't even tell me the results of the inspection of the vehicle.. The incident is blamed by the service manager on techs and "they"--the people that overbooked us. You, the general manager, are responsible for all three--so here is what happened. As I checked in shortly around 12:20, I asked how long the service would take. The service manager said 2 hours (the letter says service correction time is one hour, but OK). I called back to confirm after an hour to check if they would be able to complete by 2:15, because I really needed to leave by 2:30.. They said would check on it. No word back. When I come at 2:20 the service manager spots my car going into the service bay and goes find out what is happening with it. Comes back and service manager says it is not complete AND they are unable to complete it in the afternoon "because they overbooked us" and "the techs leave at 4:00." Offers to reschedule the appointment. After scrambling to pick up my children from school I called back to find out what happened and what had been done or learned in the two hours the car was there--was there wear on the part of related to the recall concern? Would it need to be replaced? Doesn't know. Service manager offers that he had chewed out the techs, things sometime take long--but no apology. I'm sorry, but if you are empowered manager in this situation, the techs don't leave a 4:00. A) they finish the work the customer made advance appointment for, and 2) you apologize when it takes longer than you estimated! You don't blame your employer for allowing walk in appointments and simply offer to reschedule--as if people can just take another two hours out of THEIR day for your screw up, no problem. No apology--nothing other than, "would you like a loaner car for your next appointment?" I scheduled an appointment with Oursman Chevrolet for the following week. They completed the job and it was done in about an hour, just as the recall notice said. I was in and out of there in an hour and a half. More

Lazy or deceitful? Stay away. We found the car we were looking for on line, called to confirm before we took leave and drove over an hour to get there. Salesman confirmed that the We found the car we were looking for on line, called to confirm before we took leave and drove over an hour to get there. Salesman confirmed that the vehicle was there. Asked to please double check, gave him the vin number -explained trouble we were going through to get there, again PROMISED they for sure had the car. We arrived same salesman says, Oops, it's not here. He even straight faced lied and said "the car is gone, somebody came and bought it out from under me." Maybe this was just a lazy, piece of crap salesman, but I think it was a "bait and switch attempt." Don't trust these people. They will lie and inconvenience you just to get you in the door. More
Terrible, terrible, terrible Generally, when I go to a chevy dealer, they are able to diag and fix issues with my vehicle. This company not only incorrectly diag-ed my car but their over-all customer service was horrible. The representative in the service department was rude and nonchalant, while I expressed my concern. It's almost like, he had issue with me not knowing what was wrong with my car and why couldn't I fix it. There are only a few chevy dealers in the area, the other is not open on the weekends. I drive an additional 15 miles to Silver Spring. More
Deplorable service experience I dropped my 2008 GMC Acadia off with this dealer on Jun 20, 2014. The Check Engine light and the Service StabiliTrak system lights were illuminated I dropped my 2008 GMC Acadia off with this dealer on Jun 20, 2014. The Check Engine light and the Service StabiliTrak system lights were illuminated on my panel. I had brought my car in for the same issue on Apr 7. AutoNation had my car for 31 days. Yes, 31 days. Once they had it for 20 days, they said it should be ready on Monday, 5 days from then. They were replacing the cylinder heads. Then Monday, the day it was supposed to be ready, they found that they needed to replace the Power Steering Cooler line. So it would be ready the next day. The next day, they realized they needed to replace the fuel injectors. That took another week. I don't doubt this work was needed, but I seriously doubt that these repairs that were all done within 2 weeks necessitated my car being in their shop for 31 days. While my car was in the shop, I had a rental car. Finally, after 4 weeks of rental car fees, the dealer offered me a loaner car. However, the only loaner car they had was a Sierra pick-up truck, which is humongous. I informed Jordana, who is in charge of the loaner car program, that I was uncomfortable driving that big of a car. She laughed and said not to worry. If she could do it, I could, as well. So I drove off terribly uncomfortable with the monstrosity vehicle, that also happened to be a gas guzzler. They did pay for a whopping 5 days of my 27 day rental car bill to Enterprise. When I finally got my car back, the mechanics had left the battery exposed in the back seat. My 6 year old daughter tripped, getting her foot caught in the hole where the battery sits, and cut her lip. The car wasn't clean, after the service manager had left me a message that my car was ready and just in the car wash getting cleaned up for me. I had a full tank of gas when I dropped it off. When I got it back it had less than 1/4 of a tank. The service manager, Phil, was indignant and offered me $20 and said "I'm NOT filling your tank up." I did get him up to $30. However, clearly that was nowhere near where I left it. Phil then explained they had to drive my car quite a bit to determine the problem. However, the invoice shows they drove 32 miles. That's less than 2 gallons. Furthermore, I get almost 300 miles per tank. When I explained that, his story suddenly changed to the notion that my gasoline had a high alcohol level as if I'd been using E-85, implying they had to dump it. I don't even know where to buy E-85. I exclusively use Shell 87 and once a month, the 93. When I said that, Phil then informed me that I probably got a "bad" batch of gas from Shell. I don't really believe that, but I can't say for sure. I can objectively say that I have received "bad" service from this dealer, though. Additionally, although they removed my wheels to service the car, they neglected to balance them when putting them back on. So now when I drive more than 60 mph, my car shakes. They offered to fix it next week, on the house. As if they are doing me a favor by rectifying something they neglected to do in the first place. To make matters worse, after the horrendous treatment and lack of service, Jordana requested that I vacuum their loaner. Otherwise she was going to charge me for their time....vacuuming their car. No further comment on that. And.......after 31 days in the shop.....my Check Engine and Service StabiliTrak lights came back on within 24 hours of picking it up. To make it worse, there are two other issues on my invoice that I clearly communicated were issues. Those were never addressed and still remain as issues. I also communicated those on Apr 7. They didn't address them then either. I have never in my life received such deplorable service. Ever. Anywhere. **Update: After I submitted this, I thought I should probably call the General Manager directly and let him know of my problems. I did. He at least appeared to be very concerned and apologetic. I'm taking my car back tomorrow morning. Perhaps it will finally get fixed now. They are also giving me a loaner. More
