I took car in for service on 04/10/2023 due to StabiliTrak and ABS warning lights on. I was told that the reason was because of "Low Voltage" and a new battery was needed. I purchased the batter StabiliTrak and ABS warning lights on. I was told that the reason was because of "Low Voltage" and a new battery was needed. I purchased the battery and was told the car was ready to go. When I started the car to leave, the same lights that were on when I took it in, were still on. Obviously, the new battery did not resolve the problem. When I asked why didn't the mechanics see that the lights were still on, I was told that they were not on when the car was done. They only came on when I started the car. Really? Car went back to mechanics only to be told that the problem was NOW in the steering system. What kind of diagnostic system do you have? Does anyone check before the car is released to be sure that everything that was supposed to be done has been done? I was then told that a part had to be ordered to fix this new problem that was not a problem before I took the car to AutoNation. I have yet to hear from the service department that the part was ordered, received or still not available, although I was told I would get a call in two or three days regarding the status. Either way I do not trust what I was told. When I asked about the cost of the part that would "fix" the problem I was told that it would be $400 instead of the $700 usual cost because of the "problem" I experienced. Do I believe that? We'll see when or if I get the call from the Service Dept. Obviously "customer service" was not a factor in this case. I am very disappointed about this experience and hope that it is satisfactorily resolved as soon as possible. I waited over 7 hours just to leave no better off than when I arrived. Also, I did not receive a copy of the work that was done or waiting to be done. I did receive via email a receipt for the battery. Waiting for call, email or text. More
