I have had my '21 Equinox just under 1 year. I have a sticker in my window to remind me to get my oil changed but the light came on a 1000 miles short of that number to CHANGE OIL SOON. So I I have a sticker in my window to remind me to get my oil changed but the light came on a 1000 miles short of that number to CHANGE OIL SOON. So I called an alternate AutoNation dealer ( I had taken the car into previously). I had to wait a week for an appointment and if I was a drop off or wait was a deal breaker for them, I was required to commit. I said WAIT, or I would be knocked out of the que. I arrived at 7 AM for my 8 AM earliest appointment and they were opened. I gave my keys in and waited an hour ( until my 8 AM slot). I was told that my first free oil change was expired. I advised my sticker is 1000 miles over when my light came on to change my oil. It is only good for one year. I have not had my car 1 year yet. Same bait and switch from the other dealership. OK, How much is the oil change? Around like $89.00 for an oil change. That seems incredibly high. Joque (?) said it is synthetic oil. I went to another facility and signed up for their FREE card and got a FREE oil change and the next one is free as well. My nephew and his wife just bought a new van over the weekend. I made sure they did not go to any AUTONATION. At least I protected a few people from costly mistakes. That dealership also gave them copies of the actual papers with their signatures on them. More
My appointment for an oil change was scheduled at 9 o’clock in the morning. They didn’t start working on the car until 10:45 and I finally walked out of there at 11:30.
