It is frustrating that, even with an appointment, you have to put your car "in line" to have major service done; i.e., a service queue, which is not convenient for a single-car household. This would have resulted in hundreds of $$ in rental car expense having to be incurred. That being said, I found out that is a GMC policy, not the dealer's. GMC needs to rethink this policy. You should be able to bring your car in on the day the repairs are to commence, not pay for a rental while your car sits idle in their garage for days. Once I made contact with Mike, the service manager, he was able to get my vehicle repaired in a very timely manner w/o the added rental car expense. So I give my local dealer 5 stars and national GMC 3 stars. More

I like the dealership. However, I went in for a simple battery change, for which I had made an appointment. After an hour, I was told it would be 20 minutes. It was another hour, and I had to miss another appointment. The manager was very nice about it, and apologized - apparently they were training some new technicians. Still, I would have appreciated a heads-up that I would be committing my whole afternoon to this. More
