TLDR: only go here if you're doing oil changes and brake jobs and don't bother setting up a appointment, they don't honor it anyway. I scheduled an appointment for 7:30am for a check engine light that came on but turned off by itself and potentially low brake fluid on my truck. I showed up at 7:30 and the service manager said the brake fluid level was fine but the error codes from the CEL needed more diagnostic. I tried nicely to get a approximate time as to when i might get a status update but the response back was "not sure, it has to go through our diagnostic process". Apparently that entire process meant it sat in the lot for 6 hours because it never moved in the MyGM app. Then when i finally called at 3:45pm, I got left on hold for 10+ minutes and then finally saw someone drive my truck around because the app said my gas tank level dropped 2% and the car moved "5 minutes ago". I got told by the service manager that the Technical Service Bulletin showed it was going to take awhile to go through the "thorough diagnostic process". If that meant drive it around the block a couple of times, see no codes show up and then clear the codes, I'd assume that'd take 10 minutes. What is the point of setting up an appointment at 7:30 for a 15 minute diagnostic and it takes ALL DAY?? Also, I do not want to talk to your General Manager, you can do some actual work for once in your career and pull up the security camera footage and listen to the call to verify what I wrote. Only guy who deserves 5 stars is the courtesy shuttle driver. We had a great conversation about travelling abroad. More

The emails from GMC are super friendly, and that is not the experience I have had when I call. They are honestly just cold and couldn't (wouldn't?) tell me about the anticipated length of my service, whet the experience I have had when I call. It said service had not started the entire time. Also, for a safety recall, I think you could thank me for taking the time? or apologize for the inconvenience? or wash it for me? none of that. My sense was that I was an inconvenience to your dealership. The more I think about it, it is another reason I will never buy a car from AutoNation again, and probably not a GMC vehicle at all. This is not the first or the second poor experience we have had with dealership customer service. In contrast, I have had excellent customer service experiences with the Schomp dealership in town.
