After my car was totaled out and then a few months after losing my dad, I’m happy to say some of the stress has been lifted off me because of Autonation. The sales person I had Saed was very nice. He kept his promises when he said he would call by a certain time and he kept me informed throughout the entire process. He gave me the impression that I wouldn't be financed if I didn't take their warranty package. After he explained it, I then ask if I have to take it and he said no. He then said if I did it would lower my interest rate and add an additional 6 months to the loan. I still turned it down because my goal is to payoff the car asap. He then told me not to payoff the car early because it would help my credit so I said why wouldn't I pay it off early to avoid paying so much back in interest. Why would I help my credit but hurt my pocket? He then made several attempts for me to take the $2400 extended warranty with them even though my car is a Volkswagen and they're an Acura dealership. I still said no and his response was "that don't make any sense." I didn't respond to his comment because I knew he was pissed because I want buying what he was selling. I made sure I read what I was signing just in case he slid in the warranty. The room was silent after I declined the warranty. When I got into the car my daughter asked me if she heard him correctly when he said his slick comment and I said yes. Overall, if he wasn't part of the process, my buying experience would have been awesome but he ruined everything with his slick mouth. Even if he felt that way he should keep it to himself. He did his part and gave me the options and he should respect my decision even if he didn't like it. When I test drove the car the Saed gave me the impression that I was not pressing the push start button hard enough and at the right angle. I did some research because I had to click the button like 3 times for it to turn on or off and I purchased the button from Volkswagen for $150 and with the help of youtube I changed it. Now it's working the way it should. He told me the passenger wasn't working so I know from the beginning it was an issue and I did that was minor. I asked Volkswagen and they told me $500.00 to fix it. So I decided to look under the seat and realized a wire was not plugged in to the motor and I fixed it without spending a dime. I also didn't realize the windshield was broken to the bottom by the wipers because the wipers were hiding it so safelite is replacing it for $380.00. After 7 days of owning the car and driving it for 3 days because I work from home, the AC that they recharged is blowing hot air so I have an appointment for Volkswagen to check it since I added freon and it is still blowing hot air in hot Florida. After that the car will have no issues. Before I purchased the car I asked Saed tell me what was wrong and he said the passenger seat want moving forward or backward, the airbag light is on, and the visor is missing a clip and based on that info I bought the car. I replaced the visor clip $10.00, fixed the seat for free, airbag light was fixed when I plugged the wire, replaced the push start button $150, replaced cracked windshield $380 and the AC blowing hot air don't know the cost because my appointment with Volkswagen is in 4 days. If I would ever buy a car from Acura, yes but not that one. Did I mention that I am a female and I was able to fix/replace couple things just by looking and researching by myself with the assistance of youtube. Overall the car drives great and I do love the car but I wish I knew everything that was wrong before I made the purchase versus getting surprises. I still appreciated Saed for everything throughout the process because he did his part. He is not a mechanic. But the finance guy for his slick comment and the mechanic for not even trying to fix minor things and letting me know everything spoiled everything. More
