Bought a new car for a fair price, but had really bad experience with the finance manager, Jeff. He talked me into buying extra warranty packages though I was not interested. He said the warranty was ful experience with the finance manager, Jeff. He talked me into buying extra warranty packages though I was not interested. He said the warranty was fully backed by Subaru and was offered by the manufacturer. He gave several paper work regarding the warranties, but they were seperate sheets for tire warranty, paint and bumper warranty and engine terrain warranty for 7years/100K miles. I was already made to wait for several hours in order to meet the Finance Manager, so I was exhausted and didn't look into all the details of warranty papers. After a couple of months, I had a punctured tire and contacted the dealer for repair as I had bought the extra warranty. Then I learned that I was duped into buying the extra warranty. None of the warranty was from Subaru, the manufacturer but from third parties. I was told to contact them directly to get my car fixed. When I contacted them, I was told they haven't even received any paper work from my dealer eventhough it was more than 3 months since I bought the car. I had to pay from my pocket to get the car fixed as I could not drive on a flat tire. I tried to contact the Finance Manger Jeff several times and left him many messages, but he never cared to call back. Finally, I got hold of another manager and threatened to take legal action if my warranty issue was not resolved. They somehow sent some improper paper work to the third party companies but it did not match upto the paperwork that I received when I originally signed at the time of buying the car. The term was far less, for only 4years/60K miles. I had to go to the dealer again with my initial paperwork to prove that I bought the warranty for a longer period and was made to wait for several hours again. They were able to fix a part of the warranty with one company, but still there are some other parts covered by other third parties who say they haven't received the paper work for the service contract. I think I'm going to sue them this time as I have given plenty of time and opportunities. For the people who have read this review, please use your judgement as I do not want anyone to go through this trauma that I did. More

We purchased a new Subaru Forester on 8/2. We had a great experience with our salesman, Steve. He and Dan were super to deal with and made what so often is a very stressful time, a very positive one! The only reason we couldn't mark the overall experience as great was the high pressure pitch to purchase extended vehicle warranty. We told Jeff at the outset we were not interested. He did not let up on the intense pressure as he continued to keep us "captive" for a long time! More

The reason I gave the review I did was due to my car purchasing experience. My experience with Singer Subaru was one of the best car purchases I have ever made, and I have made many. From the second I walked in the door I could feel all employees trying to relay a family eviornment to me, and insure that my visit prior to my vehicle purchase was a positive experience. This paradigm followed through the sale completion. I would reccomend Singer Subaru to any of my friends, or a stranger if I knew they were looking to purchase a Subaru. More
