Talked with Joe. He was very good about repeating what is on the paperwork I already have. I asked if he could give me a protocol on how to correct the oil restriction, and he said he couldn't. So I still can't match what they did with what they're supposed to do for this issue. I asked if the optics behind getting a cash (low ball offfer) in the waiting room is OK with him? He said it was "good sales practice" and a "typical process". I asked again since he didn't answer - "are you OK with the optics", and he repeated that it's not unusual for sales people to offer cash for people's cars. So no answer. He did no investigation, he did not look into the issues, he said he saw the videos but didn't comment further. I told him that we saw the videos also, and there was no transmission leak on the video, despite Ryan pointing to the screen we were looking at ourselves. He said there was "clearly a leak", so I guess the result is that I don't know what a leak is (and neither does my mechanic). I asked if he saw the video about the cracked control arm bushings, and he said "they 'go' all the time". I asked again and he said "it's not unusual". I gave him one last chance to answer my question and he wouldn't say if he saw the video for that. Since they weren't cracked, he knew he couldn't say he saw that video of them. This was very disappointing to me, to say the least. So there you go folks. No investigation and "stay the course" on what the paperwork says, and above all, avoid answering all questions asked. Now I know why Yelp has a 1.5 star rating for them, and many of the same service dept issues we saw are repeated in those reviews. At the end, we parted amicably. I wished him well in his continuing business model. Was he really "concerned" as mentioned below? Was he honest? Was he answering my questions? Will I ever go back to Autofair? Well, you be the judge.
