I made a down payment of 4000 and my monthly payments were $250 The Auto dealer I was told to resign a new contract with the business. 03/01/2018 I made a monthly payment with the business And signed the contract over again because he claimed there was some error. Fresno Auto traders started my payment history over again as if I had only originally paid the down payment excluding the 6 months I had paid on the vehicle. on 06/01/2018 the primary signer Darrell Miller took in a partial payment of $140.00 and the dealer agreed that the late payment was fine. The incomplete payment was later resolved on 06/25/2018 in the amount of $238.00 an additional $250 for the following month ahead. The payments were all caught up. At the time of my unfortunate delay in payments, I made the mistake of telling the car dealer that I might just come in around 07/15-07/30 to pay off the remaining balance which I continuously asked for which he could never tell me what I actually owed until he repossessed my vehicle on 07/27/2018 He told me at first that my total amount owed when speaking to him by phone that owed $4700 I told him there was no way that I could still owe that much for the 13-year-old car I was financing which is a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5l He hung up in my face. Then I called him again and I told him that I and the primary signer had done some figures with eliminating the interest charges. As he promised that would be deducted from the total amount due. we told him we still owed $2,700 he disagreed and stated that we needed to bring in $3,969 to get the car back. I went in the next day and paid the $3969 for the possession of the vehicle at the final meeting I asked the dealer if he would report my purchase to the credit bureaus he "Yeah sure guess how much it costs me to be able to report $7 dollars a month or year I can't remember. I said " Oh that's great" Then he asks me " Hey do you want me to lie on the report and say that you paid less so It won't affect your SSI benefits". I replied no thank you leave it the same it's fine/' I just really worked really hard to complete my auto loan and I believe I deserve to have my purchase reported he insured me that it would get reported. I have submitted complaints with the BBB and the California Department about the matter no one has solved the issue. My main focus from all of the disappointing event that is associated with this situation was for my payments to be reported by the business to the credit bureau. Fresno auto traders have answered my request stating they do not report any auto loans that are based on in-house financing. I was lied to by the business and overcharged by $1159 More
From start to finish and even after I bought my car, they have done a great job. They never pressured me, they cared about me and not themselves. No Pressure, no gimmicks. The prices were great and they even worked with me. They treated me like a true friend.
