finding a nissan frontier truck was very disapointing I have been looking at smaller trucks and after research between the nissan frontier and the toyota tacoma I decided that the frontier was the truck f I have been looking at smaller trucks and after research between the nissan frontier and the toyota tacoma I decided that the frontier was the truck for me. I have done my research and was aware of all the compare and contrasts of the different features. When I approached Cowles after visiting two other local dealerships and spoke with David who was internet sales rep he told me he could get my truck within 2 to 11 days. At this point I was educated and knew what I wanted such as tail hitch, liner, 4x4 ect. As I mentioned I have already done my homework at other dealerships. David made it seemed to me that its a done deal. He went as far as writing up a proposal, I waited a week, and did not here from him, I then called., He then told me its a done deal and he is just waiting for the truck to arrive at his sister company in MD and it takes time to transfer tags ect. I waited until the 11th day as promised where the General Manager called me and told me that they dont have the truck.(I was very upset and dissapointed and felt decieved) Personally hine sight 50/50, I dont think they ever had the truck and it was a ploy for me to buy the 2016 model coming in a couple of weeks. I was very disappointed in the way they decieved me. I think part of it was that I did my research and the fault lies on the general manager who sold the "supposedly" vehicle to someone who would have paid more or the dealership thought that since I was a single woman that I didnt have the knowledge. Either way, it left me with a distaste for car sales people, I ended up buying a truck with more options and lower price and a wonderful dealership of Sheeneys nissan in Manassass. They are not decietful and my sales person was very straight forward and gave me all what i needed,. Shame on you Cowles Nissan for behaving in such a devious mannor. By the way Im a single mom who happens to be a teacher and I dont appreciate the disrespect and the lact of morals this dealership displayed;......Need to work on honesty Cowles! More
Opposite experience of your typical dealership. I learned of Cowles Nissan through TrueCar.com. I received three quotes from Truecar and Cowles quote came right in the middle. I spoke with Jannie I learned of Cowles Nissan through TrueCar.com. I received three quotes from Truecar and Cowles quote came right in the middle. I spoke with Jannie Lloyd over the phone and shared with her my quote details. She said that Cowles would match any dealer in the area for the same car. I sent her both her quote and the cheaper quote (Lechner of Stafford). She spoke with her manager (peter) and they said they would be able to match the price. I went to the dealership with butterflies in my stomach due to some awful experiences I have had in the past purchasing a new car. Initially, when she returned with the quote it was almost $600 higher because they had included the processing fees. I explained to her that the processing fee was already included in the original TrueCar quote and she got her manager (mike) to see what they could do. Mike came in her office, I explained the situation with the redundant processing fees, he said "no problem, we will fix it", and returned with a new out-the-door quote that was the expected number. After that, I filled out all the forms and met with their finance manager. I was already qualified for a loan at 2% with my bank and the finance manager (Douglaz) said they couldn't do anything below 2.49% and didn't waste any time running my credit. Later, I received the keys, was taken to the vehicle to show me all the points of interest. Sadly, the tire-pressure indicator was displayed and their service department was already closed for the evening. Additionally, they had not installed the bracket for the front license plate. Jannie was troubled by that and told me that she would schedule a time to come in and get these things fixed and she said that they would fill up my gas tank to compensate me. I had already test driven the same make/model car at a dealership closer to me so the first time I ever came to the dealership was the evening I bought my car. The experience could not have been any better. Jannie was very professional and a pleasure to work with. She returned my calls promptly and seemed always in high spirits. She was NOT a pressure-salesman by any definition. She answered my questions and if she didn't know she would call back with the answers. My time at the dealership took less than 2 hours. I would strongly recommend this saleswoman and this dealership to anyone who is within driving distance of Woodbridge. It's difficult to find an honest dealer, and this one was willing to do most of the hard negotiating over the phone (albeit TrueCar did most of the negotiating for me). If I could give a 6th star, I would. More
once the sale is complete customer service disappears My sales rep Teddy was very good. He listened to what I was looking for and delivered the service that I expected. After the sale is a different sto My sales rep Teddy was very good. He listened to what I was looking for and delivered the service that I expected. After the sale is a different story. Do not trust Mr. Niazi. I came back three times on three seperate occasions to talk to him about the problem that I told my sales rep. about the next day and was basically accused of causing the problem. His words " How do I know you didn't do it when you left?" I had only put 100 miles on the car. After a few exchanges and him trying to get me to pay for half of the repair costs he agreed to take care of it (wheel bearing). After two months and the sound still there I returned to find out that the other wheel bearing was shot. This was a certified pre-owned car and in less than 3,000 miles both rear wheel bearings had to be replaced. The service dept said it was worst than the first one and it should have been discovered and replaced during the first issue. I went back to Mr. Niazi and was told that "he didn't have to do anything the first time for me (even though I called my rep the next morning) and the first one was done as a "courtesy", and since the service dept said that it was a continuation of the original problem that THEY could pay for it because he wasn't. Once again this was after comming to speak with him three times again on three seperate occasions. So I spent $600 to fix a problem that should have been caught during the "certification" process before it hit the lot and or at the first repair, and I still have a noise. It seems that all he cares about is the fact that they made the sale and if you have a problem then it's YOUR problem not theirs. If you are thinking of buying a car from this man PLEEASSE have it inspected by a independent mechanic and DON'T TRUST there " certified" label and certainly DON'T TRUST Mr Niazi. I have 20 years of sales and customer service experience and I have dealt with and worked with some "sleazy salesmen"in my time.I would definitely put him in that category so beware. The service Department is excellent though. They do treat you like family and they are honest and fair. More
Bad experience, stay away from Cowles Nissan I went to Cowles Nissan on May 29 for a tire rotation & balance, a problem with the leather on the steering wheel and for a recall, the service writer I went to Cowles Nissan on May 29 for a tire rotation & balance, a problem with the leather on the steering wheel and for a recall, the service writer never even acknowledge what I said about the recall, he just wrote the tire rotation and the problem with the leather of the steering wheel, inside he informed me that the dealer would charge me $131.00 to check the steering wheel if it wasn't under warranty, are you kidding me, this vehicle is a 2015 Altima, 8 months old and it has only 8,500 miles. I think that the service writer only wanted to find a way to charge for something that it should be under warranty. I can assure you that I'm never going back to Cowles Nissan. More
