They called me on the phone after doing the 140 diagnostic to tell me it needed a new battery, alternator, and was “way overdue” for an oil change. It was just over 3000 miles since the last oil change, which was full synthetic. Toyota recommends 10000 mile intervals and most mechanics will recommend 6-8k with full synthetic. The brand new battery was completely shot, and it needed a new alternator. The quote was for 1500 dollars. I went to the shop to ask about it, they told me the battery was internally shorted. Autozone and my other mechanic both tested it and say it’s fine. They wanted to charge 400 dollars for a battery replacement which is absurd. For a remanufactured alternator, they were charging over 400 dollars, just for the part. At autozone you can’t find one for more than 230. This should’ve been a 500-700 job and they are charging double to triple that. They also lied to me about properly testing the battery and charging 100 for an oil change far more frequently than is necessary. Once they started the repair, I’m sure they would’ve found faulty pulleys and changed those out as well for a premium profit. * * In a response to the above Google review, they also lied about my complaint in order to personally discredit me.
