Me and my parents came in looking for new cars. We just started the process of looking so we didn't purchase yet. Zach was very professional and had an answer to all of my finance / car questions. I purchased a Tesla from Auto Boutique Columbus specifically to take advantage of the federal EV tax credit — a credit that was explicitly part of the deal and my financial decision to buy from thi specifically to take advantage of the federal EV tax credit — a credit that was explicitly part of the deal and my financial decision to buy from this dealership. What I was NOT told is that the dealer is required to file IRS Form 8936 / the Point of Sale transfer form on their end to make that credit valid. They didn’t do it. I am now dealing with the IRS and am out $4,000 because of their failure to complete a legally required step in the transaction. This isn’t a misunderstanding — this is a dealer who either doesn’t know the EV tax credit process well enough to be selling EVs, or simply doesn’t care once the car is off the lot. This is a systemic leadership failure. The sales team, finance team, and management under Owner Alexander Levitskiy and Operations Manager Robert Thompson allowed a transaction to close without completing a mandatory federal filing. No follow-up. No accountability. No resolution. If you are purchasing a vehicle with any kind of tax credit, rebate, or incentive tied to dealer action — walk away from Auto Boutique. They will smile through the sale and disappear when it’s time to follow through. I am actively pursuing resolution through the IRS, the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, and the Ohio BMV Dealer Licensing Section. I am also leaving this review on every platform available until this is made right. Save yourself the headache. There are dealers in Columbus who actually complete the paperwork they promise.
