Went for a oil change & they lost the bolts for the skid plate. & they replaced them with zip ties... seriously zip ties. When I called in they told me to stop by maybe they could replace them. Tried buying a Volkswagen TDI from them. First they switched cars on me and it took two days before I realized why there was a difference in mileage. The car I asked to see had lower mileage, no damage switched cars on me and it took two days before I realized why there was a difference in mileage. The car I asked to see had lower mileage, no damage, one owner. Switched it for a higher mileage car with multiple owners, damage. Both cars sat for an extended amount of time while in possession of manufacturer and have dry rotted tires. They claim the car passed a safety inspection and refuse to replace the tires to sell the car. They want me to buy the car for $10K AS IS and pay for the tires. It will also need windshield wipers (also dry rotted), and good scrubbing because it’s still caked in filth to the point I thought it had paint damage, floor mats, upholstery cleaning. All of this isn’t including the many things that can go wrong with a car that sat in a field for 18 to 36 months. These cars have been sitting on Auffenbergs lot since November/January. It’s September. I’m a returning Auffenberg customer and TDI owner but they see a woman and are trying to take advantage. AThat orthey really just don’t want to sell cars?!?! They offered me a ridiculous low amount for my trade so I said I would keep my car and pay $2K cash down. I wish this car was at any other dealership. I won’t buy a car that from a place who tells me my car will fail anyday (it’s newer with new tires) while trying to sell me a car with dry rotted tires and windshield wipers. What a joke! Jon the salesperson was nice but also tried to tell me BS lies and had no interest in giving even an inch. I was willing to pay asking price. He just kept saying this is our lowest price. There’s no negotiation. (Paraphrased) They should advertise that better. But all I wanted was a car that was safe to put my child in and drive down the highway without worrying about a blowout that could flip the car or cause me to lose control and have an awful accident. They lost a $10K sale and a repeat customer over a set of tires that cost a huge dealership like them hardly anything. After all, the salesman bragged about how they are the second largest dealer in the country. After searching their inventory I found they put new tires on many of the VW’s that sat for less time. Most were being sold for the same price of $8995 in varying conditions with varying mileage. More
Traded in a vehicle for a new ford explorer - at the end of the day, I ended up with overpriced product and got hood winked. They sold me a maintenance plan that can only be done at that specific dealer, li of the day, I ended up with overpriced product and got hood winked. They sold me a maintenance plan that can only be done at that specific dealer, literally lied to me to sell it. Also did a trade with another dealer to get me the color I wanted but without telling me my "discounts" disappeared?? Also, next day when I picked up there were multiple damages and non functioning features on brand new vehicle (creased door panel and scarred pillar trim and grease marks on the roof liner and salesman literally said "Well what do you want me to do about it?" - couldn't care less since I already bought the car the day before and was just waiting delivery. I had to insist on getting things fixed. If they have to scream they are honest on their website ... likely they are not.. Never coming back. More

Worse Car Buying experience EVER My experience with Auffenberg Ford was the worse in my car buying experience (nearly 20 cars purchased). I was invited to a "special event”. It was a My experience with Auffenberg Ford was the worse in my car buying experience (nearly 20 cars purchased). I was invited to a "special event”. It was a sham, supposedly offering me “special savings” and more money for my trade-in than I would ever otherwise receive. Ultimately, what they offered me was a standard discount that was the same as that listed for the vehicle on their website that anyone could have obtained, not just those invited to the “special event”. I could have obtained a better price from countless dealers just by browsing autotrader.com. They offered me $11,000 for my trade-in, $2000 less than KBB trade-in value. Their special event representative, Dave Knight, barely gave me a glance before passing me off to a salesman, Lou, who was much better at talking than listening. Lou aggressively try to sell me a “Car Butler” package before we even began to negotiate a price for a new Escape or an offer on my trade-in, and continued multiple times to try to sell me the Car Butler after I told him I had ZERO interest it. After evaluating my trade-in, they kept the keys to it and I had to ask for them multiple times before they returned them and allowed us to leave. After leaving Auffenberg Ford, we went to another dealership (Lou Fusz) that day and made a great deal on a new vehicle and we obtained a fair price on our trade-in. More
Terrible customer service after the sale Purchased two used cars from them. Within one month had major problem with one of them that required repair. Do not believe them when they tell you Purchased two used cars from them. Within one month had major problem with one of them that required repair. Do not believe them when they tell you the cars have been completely checked. Issue i had would have been found if they had done there due diligence prior to offering it for sale. They do not stand behind the products sold. Will never due business with this company again. Best they could offer me was a 10% discount on the repair that was a slap in the face. Do not buy form this company More
Service is terrible! Bought my Ford F150 2 years ago brand new from this dealership with a "okay" experience. Last week, I needed to have a front end noise diagnosed so I decided to make an appointment to have my truck looked at to figure out what the cause was. I live in Farmington Mo and made my decision to buy my vehicle at a dealer located 70 miles away due to price and negotiating a extended warranty into the deal. When I arrived at the service center, the gentleman at the service desk started explaining the cost that will be incurred by me for diagnosis and repair. I stated to him that I had a 5 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. He immediately became defensive and said "Our computer system does not show you have an extended warranty" I advised him that I was positive that I did but unfortunately, forgot to bring my paperwork with me. He stated that I would have to wait 30 minutes for someone in finance to come in and look for the warranty papers. Low and behold after about 45 minutes, finance was able to provide proof of extended warranty. During my 45 minutes of waiting for finance, I wanted to get a courtesy vehicle so I wouldn't have to sit with my wife and 2 month old grandson for extended time. When I made the service appointment, I inquired about getting a courtesy car, the lady told me it would be no problem. The gentleman in service seemed very annoyed that I was persistent about getting a car and told me " I don't know who you talked too but, we don't have a courtesy car to loan you....we don't do that here! " i said, okay, somebody lied to me please check on rental. A young lady called enterprise and advised me they had no cars available due to the upcoming holiday weekend. During my conversation with the service person, some other employee was walking by and overheard my conversation and said, three loaner cars will be available in about 20 minutes. By this time I was livid because the service guy outright lied to me. I never received an apology other then him trying to back pedal by blaming someone else. My appointment was at 8:00 am, truck did not get pulled back into service until 3:30. Next, chapter, I'm sitting in the service waiting room as I write this review because my appointment today was at 9:20 to replace parts causing the noise. My truck is still sitting in the parking lot at 12:30. I'm not even going to fight for a loaner. My wife is currently in the market for a new vehicle....It WILL NOT be purchased at Auffenberg Ford!! Update. Truck was still not taken back for service at 3:30, I left without repair being done. Will never go back! More
Service stinks I made an appointment weeks ago for a safety recall . I made other appointments around this, arranged for a ride, and did all of this before school I made an appointment weeks ago for a safety recall . I made other appointments around this, arranged for a ride, and did all of this before school starts next week. (I'm a teacher.) I drove 30 minutes to get here only to be told they were too backed up and people had called off today. I asked why they didn't call me before I came over. They said they just had people call off. Said they had 20 recalls backed up. Overbooking? Then, decided they could chNge my oil, but tried to sell me 1000 dollars of other fixes. More
