Service department is disorganized and non responsive to customer calls. I had to call at least five times to make an appointment for service. Left messages and no one ever calls back. Audi Spokane, my nearest dealer, is a 200 mile drive over two mountain passes. They are extremely accommodating, well organized, and technically very proficient. They have friendly shuttle drivers to get you two mountain passes. They are extremely accommodating, well organized, and technically very proficient. I am new to the area and have had my Audi serviced at 2 other dealerships, this was the worst of the 3 I have worked with over the past 6 years.....the folks in the service did a good job, friendly / profe other dealerships, this was the worst of the 3 I have worked with over the past 6 years.....the folks in the service did a good job, friendly / professional, as expected. Have three main factors that influence my score: 1) Cost - to be fair, I expect services to be high at a dealer, just had a little sticker shock...oil change $120 (not bad at all), transmission service $500 (ouch, for what is mostly a fluid change) and 3) new spark plugs over $500 (wow, that seems exorbitant....its a 2 liter with 4 plugs that are easy to get to, cant take more than 30 minutes for a novice to do...I decided to do this myself to avoid the extra $'s) 2) Communication - I had to book my service appointment almost a month out (which isn't that abnormal these days), there were no loaners when I dropped off my car, not a huge deal for a single day service appointment, but at these prices would expect one to be there. Challenge started when I didn't hear back from them so I called to check status around 4:30PM, found out my car would not be finished until noon the next day. They ended calling me to let me know the car was done at 2:30PM the next day.....other dealers I went to would have went out of their way to not only communicate the delay, but also extend some sort of customer service effort...not much in that vein here 3) extra fee - I asked them to look at a rattle I have been hearing over the past few months, they billed me $160 for this work and said it was two heat shields banging together....rattle seems better, but is still there. Issue on my end, is the extra fee, even when they had delays in the service (this is the kind of thing I would hope could be waved in good faith, especially when service is behind schedule and considering how high other fees are)...insult to injury here - its not completely resolved. You shouldn't charge me for something and not complete it 100%....for anyone reading this, rattles area a pain, so I get it from the tech's perspective...for me, its more about the combo of the charge for a poor resolution on my end, delay and high fees for other services - simply expect more. Again, service advisors were fine, dealership is clean and my shuttle experience was good.....my problem is that I am paying premiums, nearly $900 for an oil change, trans service and rattle inspection. I didn't have an experience that met the expectation I have for cost at that level. I plan to look for independent service shops or will do it myself next time - bummer considering I could be a great client over the long haul. More
Audi Spokane is the only Audi dealership in a wide region of eastern Washington. The demand on this dealership is ridiculous requiring months at times to get a service appointment. Perhaps Audi should cons of eastern Washington. The demand on this dealership is ridiculous requiring months at times to get a service appointment. Perhaps Audi should consider opening another location to serve this area. When scheduling the service appointment online there is a box to select "loaner vehicle", which I need. When my service appointment came (weeks later) it turns out that there was not a loaner vehicle available. This is extremely inconvenient and there was really nothing that could be done. So now I had to rearrange my day to sit at the dealership while my car was serviced. They offered a shuttle service which is not very useful when you have multiple appointments to make which are many miles away from the dealer. When I bought the car (at another dealership in Illinois) I purchased "Audi care". This dealer guaranteed a loaner and would come to my house (or work) to drop off a loaner car, pick up my car for service, and then drop it off again when my car was finished. Prior to this I owned a Mercedes. When arriving for service there was a loner car, ready to go and running in the drop off bay - I simply parked my vehicle, jumped in the loaner and was on my way. That is customer service - and was what I would expect from all premium automotive dealerships. It also provides an opportunity to experience other models in the fleet for assessing your next purchase. Unfortunately, this is far from the case here and is going to affect my next purchase decision. Audi Spokane is also very difficult to reach anyone through their automated answering mouse maze and get a real person on the phone. They also do not return phone messages. As mentioned earlier, perhaps the issue is that this dealership is simply overwhelmed with the local demand. If that is the case then Audi USA should be evaluating expanding in the region to keep up with demand, otherwise that demand will go elsewhere to purchase premium vehicles and receive the customer experience expected when doing so. We had one of the best experiences for servicing out Volkswagen Atlas that we have ever had. The coolant was leaking and they were able to get it in quickly and had all of the parts and fixed it within Volkswagen Atlas that we have ever had. All personnel that I dealt with were attentive, supportive and dedidicated to meeting my requirements. This is the second auto I purchased from Autonation.
