First, I'll give some quick thoughts before the entire story: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! All I can do is warn whoever may read this to stay away. I NEVER write reviews about anything (I know, I really need to contribute more to online society), so when I feel the need to put fingers to keyboard it has to be some pretty significant event. This event certainly qualifies: it was hands down the worst car buying experience I've had in my life (I’ve purchased 11 cars in my life, 3 new, 6 from dealerships). My rating for them would be 1/4 star, but the site does not allow for less than a one star rating. So the story begins....[please note that there were so many problems with this transaction that this review would read like Tolstoy's War and Peace were I to recount all the nightmares, but I will do my best to paint a succinct picture of our experience, despite my propensity towards verbosity. The story gets truly unbearable towards the end, so if you don't have time for my novel, skip down to our second visit which was when we attempted to close the deal (“THE BIG DAY”)]. We found our certified pre-owned Audi online, and visited the commonwealth website to learn more about the vehicle. We called the dealership and explained that we do not live close (about 1.5 hours away), and asked them to please tell us about the condition of the car, and if it was indeed in the "immaculate, excellent condition" that their ad stated, we would like to come up and test drive it. We were told that they had checked it out and it was a "very clean car, with no issues." So we decided to drive up and check it out. Upon arrival, we found stains in the carpet from the front to the back that you wouldn't expect to find in a 15 year old $5000 taxi cab, much less a car less than a year old with about 10,000 miles. When asked about it, they said "oh wow, I didn't notice that, but we can take care of that...." (WARNING BELL) Little did we know this was only the beginning. Despite the assurances on their website that this car had "Excellent Interior, Excellent Carpets," and had been "expertly detailed," we found crumbs in the cup holders and generally a dirty, poorly maintained (aesthetically) car. HOWEVER, we did not let this stop us. We haggled with the dealer for a while over price, but ended up leaving as we could not bring ourselves to drive such a dirty, stained car off the lot. Upon leaving, we got the usual (perfunctory) visit from the sales manager, trying to seal the deal. We explained that they'd probably have a deal if the car hadn't been in such horrible shape. He admitted that he hadn't even looked in the car, but was surprised to hear about the condition. In an effort to seal the deal, he offered a maintenance package (known as Audi Care) to compete with the BMW we were looking at buying. We told him we'd think about it and call him back. So far, a little disappointed in the condition of the car, but we were still willing to work with them.... Truth be told, we would have just walked out with the car that day, paid for in cash, had it not looked like a garbage pail. I would like to make clear that no one accepted responsibility for the condition of the car and the contradiction of the description on the website. We heard "wow, I didn't notice that" and "hmmm, must've been dark when I showed it last" and a myriad of other excuses as to why there was a dark brown/yellow coffee like stain that spanned from the driver’s seat floor to the rear of the car. (WARNING BELL) IMPORTANT NOTE: This specific car had been on their lot for over 90 days!!! IN 90 DAYS NOT ONE SALESPERSON NOR THE GENERAL SALES MANAGER NOTICED A STAIN THAT TOOK PROFESSIONAL DETAILERS 3 HOURS TO GET OUT?? WARNING BELLS. The next day (Tuesday) I called the sales manager (Matt) back to tell him that we really liked the car, and were willing to come back to the proverbial table and purchase the car at their price (conditioned upon them cleaning it, of course). However, he was unavailable at the time, so I left a message asking him to please return my call. After 2 days I received no return phone call from him, much to my chagrin. Are these guys in the business of selling cars or not? (WARNING BELL) I tried a second time to reach Matt, and he was again unavailable (not surprisingly). I finally reached a salesperson and explained that we would agree to their price and terms if they would have the carpets cleaned and car detailed to match what their ad stated. We inquired about the Audi Care (maintenance) that was offered (which was why I wanted to speak with Matt) and now that was an additional charge. Maybe we misunderstood his offer, maybe the deal was taken off the table after we left. Whatever-no big deal, I get the game- that deal was maybe good before we left the first day. We'll STILL give you your asking price without maintenance. THE DEAL. THE BIG DAY: We receive a call two days later (Friday now) explaining that they had an outside detail company come in and it took them 3 hours to remove the stains in the carpets, but were successful. Anyway, the car was clean and ready for delivery. We said “fantastic! We’ll see you there around 4-4:30 to pick it up!” It was a Friday night and we asked him how long the transaction should take (we were cash buyers). He replied “about 20 minutes,” or “maybe a little longer if there is someone in front of you.” We arrived at 4:12, the car was indeed cleaned and gassed up, ready to go. We looked it over and said “looks great! Let’s do it!” Finally, my girlfriend is excited and she’s getting the car she always wanted! She signed some papers with the salesperson and he said “ok, there ARE a couple people in front of you, but they are kicking them out pretty quick- shouldn’t be more than 20 minutes (around 5:00PM). By 6:45 PM WE STILL had not made it in to financing! Being offered excuse after excuse, and “20 more minutes” after “about 20 more minutes,” we were ready to snap. 15 salespeople standing around, one finance person, and us, CASH BUYERS just wanting to give them money but unable to do so. (WARNING BELLS!!!!) At this point I’m remembering we found the car she wanted in Atlanta….had I known what was to come next we would have left and got on a plane and flown to there instead. Finally around 700 PM we get into financing. We are furious at the overall experience and express this to the finance guy. He apologizes profusely and says “well, at least this part will go smoothly.” In all fairness, he was a nice guy and I don’t fault him for what we had been through. During the signing of the documents, I asked him about the Certified Pre-Owned documentation and paperwork that comes with the car. He said “hmmm, this isn’t showing as Certified Pre-Owned (CPO). It isn’t a certified car.” (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?). He brought in a salesman to inquire about the CPO, and we were told that “WE HAD OPTED OUT OF THE CERTIFICATION.” OPTED OUT??? So you’re telling me that they UN-certified their certified car?? It was the entire point of the transaction and their BIGGEST SELLING POINT ON NEARLY ALL THEIR USED AUDI’S! The car had a “Certified Pre Owned” decal ON IT! At this point, after the issues with the dirty carpets, and the general incompetence of the staff, the non responsiveness from the General Sales Manager, and the more than 3 hours at the dealer waiting (after being told 20 minutes 5 different times) forcing us to cancel dinner reservations with out of town guests, my girlfriend broke down in tears and had to leave the office. Finally, I had had enough, and flew into a 4 letter word laced invective at the finance manager, explaining what a nightmare this entire process had been, and how incompetent everyone at this dealership was. They came to discover that the car was indeed Certified, and the apologized for “the mix up.” THE MIX UP???? The only mix up is that this place is more a set for candid camera and mean spirited practical jokes rather than a car dealership. We did finally get the car, and all the CPO paperwork that should have been included, but only because I brought it up! It was really just the final insult to injury. A manager was gracious at this late hour to show us around the car, trying to make up for what he knew was just a horrendous experience all around. Unfortunately, 20 minutes of kindness was not to make up now for a week or incompetence and disrespect. Moreover, after 3+ hours of dealing with this nightmare the only thing we want to do is GO HOME and forget about our experience. It was the blind leading the blind at this dealership. A comedy of errors that is only funny if you’re not involved. MAYBE this was an isolated experience, but given our negative experience with multiple staff members, on multiple occasions, at every step of the process, I strongly doubt it and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY discourage anyone from risking it. Moreover, I’ve read similar reviews online that I ignored (to my detriment, as you can see now). Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Fly to Atlanta or Miami or even Germany if you have to- IT’LL SAVE YOU HASSLES, I PROMISE!!! Unless you are a masochist, you’ll do everything in your power to stay away from Commonwealth Audi. More

After being treated so horribly at Circle I was almost not even going to get an Audi. But after visiting Commonwealth and working with Chris Aud, my mind was made up! I can become extremely stressed and annoying when buying a new car because I ask a million questions. Chris was extremely nice through the entire process. The car was ready when promised and looked beautiful. Chris showed me how to operate all of the features and even linked my Iphone. I will definitely recommend Commonwealth to friends and family:) Thanks Chris & Commonwealth, I LOVE my new A5!!! More

I was looking to get an Audi A4 and I contacted about 4 dealers and James answered my email and called in less than 15 minutes i was really impressed because I bought my A4 from him on the 9th of this mont dealers and James answered my email and called in less than 15 minutes i was really impressed because I bought my A4 from him on the 9th of this month and still the other dealers that I contacted still have not responded to my email it doesn't matter I got my car and found my sales person and I will refer to all my friends and family. I would first like to say that George Ledesma was very friendly and helpful throughout our experience and this review is a reflection of the dealership as my experience was one problem after another. Recently purchased a used Audi 2010 S4 with only 9000 miles on it which I thought was a great deal but the events that were to follow would just be one issue after another. I'll try to just some of the key issues here instead of rambling on. After the paperwork was signed a couple days later I get a call telling me that they need another $1000 which seemed a pretty common car dealership "trick of the trade," but worked that out after spending a good 7 hours of a workday out there. Next issue was my water pump exploding 4 days later and needing to be towed to them in Santa Ana From the Fontana area. Next issue, the down payment check that was supposed to be deposited after the 1st was deposited 2 weeks early causing fee's and more headaches (Though they did make it right on that issue)after spending another 8 hours at the dealership. Next issue, I come back to pickup the car (since the water pump had been fixed) and it turns out that they hit a rock during the test drive and damaged my right front head light, after a couple hours of back and fourth they decided to order me a new headlight as was stated by "Richard in service." To my surprise when I call back 2 weeks later there is no record of an ordered headlamp and no paperwork. I finally get a hold of the service director "Scott White" who eventually decided to replace the headlamp and was pretty helpful. It was agreed that the job would take around 2 hours so I could come down that Friday (another called out day from work I may add) and it would be done. I arrive at around 1pm to only be told by Richard that the job would take 4-6hours and that it would not be done until the following Monday. At this point I've met my limit as its a little ridiculous to be spending 5 separate work days driving down to Santa Ana only to deal with "non-sense." Eventually I received my car and have decided at this point to go elsewhere to buy any Audi in the future. These were not all the issues that happen but it's more then enough to make you think twice before spending 50k on a car from a dealership that will bring you nothing but headaches. My salesman George Ledesma was great but after that everything went down hill in terms of the dealership. I have yet to be contacted by the dealership to possibly make it right and more then likely will not receive a call so let this be a foreshadowing that once CommonWealth Audi has your money they don't care about you or your return visit. - One disappointed Customer More

My 2005 VW has less than 20,000 miles . I went in for an oil change and service agent came back and recommended additional service amounting to $600+. My car works flawlessly and i keep it in pristine condition. Why are they recommending all these repairs? No signs of leaks in my garage yet he says there's a minor leak I. Two different places. I sat in the waiting room and listened to advisors tell every single customer that they need additional work done on their car. Strange that all 8 customers had extra repairs that were needed in addition to what they came in for. I think this dealer is dishonest. Not one single customer had their car repaired as ordered. 'unexpected' problems seemed to appear with additional costs ranging from $600-$3,5000. Highly unusual don't you think? Now I wonder if they damaged my car on purpose so that I have to come back and fix the problems they claim it has. They could easily poke holes in the hoses or make parts loose to make it appear as if it has issue. My confidence level for Commonwealth has gone down the toilet. I'm never coming back here again. Warning to all of you who want to come to this dealer. If you can, avoid buying a VW or Audi as i've heard of so many horror stories of other dealerships nearby. Do your homework! I'm always on the fence about meeting new salesmen, especially when it comes time to choosing a new car.
