I have owned 6 Audis, and I bought all of them from John Bowyer at South Austin Audi. I have owned many cars but I have never gotten the level of service I have experienced from John Bowyer and South Austin Bowyer at South Austin Audi. They finally fixed what needed to be fixed... they took care of me eventually. South Austin Audi has lost its moral compass. I take my A8 in and spend 5,500+ dollars on the repairs that they say I need care of me eventually. South Austin Audi has lost its moral compass. I take my A8 in and spend 5,500+ dollars on the repairs that they say I need. I have a headlamp indicator light on the dash and ask them to see what is wrong, I tell them nothing seems to be out of order, the headlights and high beams seem to be working fine??? They charge me hundreds of dollars to diagnose the problem... which I paid. They take out the Drivers side headlamp assembly to test it... they want 2700 more and change to replace the headlamp... I say no thanks. They return the car, that night as I am driving I notice the High Beams are not functional at all... and they used to work, the cornering lights are not functional and they used to work. I contact them, they apologize, pick up the car and call me the next day. "Sorry but to fix the high beams you will need to spend the 2700 and replace the headlamp..." I say, "NO, it was working before and I want you to return the car with all the functionality that it had when I brought it in"... (this should not need to be said right?) "unfortunately sir when we tested the headlamp it reset the electronics and we cannot fix the high beams now without replacing the headlamp assembly" I tell them they absolutely need to fix this since they broke it, they cannot in good conscious return a car that is in worse shape than when it was brought in... Apparently I am incorrect in my assumption and they are perfectly fine with this very corrupt practice. They did not even mention that by testing the headlamp it might cause other issues of functioning high beams and cornering lights... at least then I would have had the opportunity to make an educated decision on what to do. This is a despicable business with no sense of right and wrong. I will fix it elsewhere and meet them in court. More
