Inefficient My fiance and I have had one big headache over our 2008 Audi A4 that we purchased in April of 2016. The car began to have issues with oil and an engine light in October of 2017. Long story short, we took it in to the dealership and by the time everything was said and done 3 months later we ended up paying $4,100 for a replacement engine, new turbo, vacuum pump and a few other random parts that had popped up. You can imagine our delight... Once we FINALLY got our replacement engine with a 90 day warranty on it, within the first 45 days the minimum oil light began to pop on again. So what did we do....we took it back to the dealership to see what was wrong. After about 20 minutes with the car they decided they, "had no idea what was wrong", and simply TOPPED IT OFF with oil and sent us on our way in April(still under the 90 day warranty). Fast forward to to present day and now we are being told that even with all the work we have had done on the Audi its going to cost around $1,500 to repair this replacement engine out of pocket. If they had just found the issues in the first place in April, it would have saved us a ton of money and we would have been able to have our car after almost half a years worth of issues finally in correct working order. I also contacted the general manager John Coats directly asking for options on what could be done. After not receiving a response for over a week and then calling and having another week go by I still haven't received any communication from him. We have been in the shop so frequently they know us on a first name basis, I had hoped that there would have been better service at this point. There have been some helpful people at the dealership from time to time, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I definitely would not recommend bringing any of your repairs here if you have other alternatives. it has cost us so much money and there has been no leeway to any of the monetary amounts that it has left us with a terrible taste in our mouth.
