Not pleased. First my A4 developed bad bearings in one wheel long before age would have made that a likely event. That cost over $2000. At 65000 miles, I brought it in for complete service. Brakes ran almost $1000 per wheel. Total bill, over $4000. I expect dealers to be outrageously overpriced- that’s the price you pay to get their “expertise.” The thing I could not tolerate was the poor service in general, including one particularly rude young punk at the service desk. I like Audi cars, but this has caused me to actually test drive an American sports car for the first time in 20 years. I’ve even considered using another Audi dealer in a neighboring city. And this is not the first time I’ve had a problem with them. During the pandemic, there was an issue that required my contacting the service manager directly for resolution. The BMW 540i is looking better to me now. I’ve read it handles better than the A4. More
I viewed a 2016 BMW 235M online and then called the dealership for additional information. The pictures online did not show any body damage and the salesman I spoke with confirmed the car was in excell dealership for additional information. The pictures online did not show any body damage and the salesman I spoke with confirmed the car was in excellent condition. I took a 6 hour train ride from NJ with the intention of purchasing the car and driving it home. When I arrived at the dealership I found the car had significant damage to the lower bumper including a crack in the center of the bumper with spider marks. The damage was not visible in the online pictures as the photos were taken from a high angle looking down on the bumper. I also found a 20 inch long 3 inch wide set of deep black scape marks beneath the rocker panel on the passenger door. Once again, this damage was not visible in the pictures. I scrolled through the service indicators on the car computer and found the brake fluid was 2 years overdue for servicing and the brakes showed they needed inspection in 3200 miles. I had also asked the salsman to check for any air bubles on the information screen as this is a known issue for the 2015 to 2017 BMW 2 series. I was told there were no bubbles. When I viewed the display sceen I saw bubbles starting in the lower left corner. Once the bubbles start, they spread to the entire screen which becomes a 1500 to $2,00 repair. The condition of the car should have been disclosed before I traveled from NY to Richmond. The Sales Manager said it was a matter of timing and that If I lived local they could have repaired the scratches and had me come back to pick it up. Not what I wanted to hear after driving 6 hours. I was unable to get a train back until 9PM that night so I had to rent a car for a miserable 7 hour ride through massive traffic back to NJ on a Friday afternoon. This trip cost me over $500 out of pocket. I would not recommend this dealership. More
I recently purchased a 2012 Audi A4 from Richmond Audi, through salesperson Ken Paciocco, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! I had wanted this car for months, but when the clutch in my previous ve through salesperson Ken Paciocco, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! I had wanted this car for months, but when the clutch in my previous vehicle went, the search became more pressing! What is necessary to understand is that I live in Connecticut. As I need to drive a manual transmission vehicle for a multitude of reasons, my search was fruitless in my area. I decided to open up my distance parameters, and I found this car! Ken was extremely responsive, genial, and honestly excited about the prospect of getting me in this car!! He bucked the "used car salesman" trope from the first conversation. After getting off that first call, I turned to my boyfriend and said, "I found my car!!" Ken made the process SO simple. From start to finish, it went smoothly. I really didn't think it would go off without a hitch, but it was great! We were picked up at the airport and driven to the dealership, which was awesome, considering our flight was 90 min late. Ken met us right away, and my car had a big red bow on it. What every girl dreams of, lol! The finance department was able to get me an amazing interest rate, which was 16% lower than I was going to get with that horrid vending machine company! I wish I could remember the finance gentleman's name, but I'm blanking! He also made the process very smooth. In summary, I am now an Audi convert for life. When I am in the market for a new one, there is absolutely no possibility that I would go anywhere other than Richmond Audi! Many thanks to everyone at the dealership, but a special thank you to Ken!! More
