Don’t waste your time with Audi North Austin or Brandy (sales). Brandy was helpful at first but then stopped returning calls about basic questions. This happened repeatedly over the week we spoke. “I’ll check on that and get back to you” ... it was 3 days later when I followed up as the weekend approached. “I’ll check with my sales manger call you back in 30 mins” ...2 hour later after I called back. “I’ll call you back in 5 minutes I promise” ... turned out to be never and I gave up. Brandy and Audi North Austin will completely waste your time with the “old car dealership run around game”... or just poor customer service. Bonus Shady Audi North Austin Car Dealership Facts: The car listing on multiple sites across the internet was inflated with features the car obviously didn’t have. Which I pointed out to them. They were fine overpricing the car with false information. A listing mistake or typo is one thing but posting multiple inaccurate and outright misleading features is inexcusable. This was beyond an incompetent mistake. What a completely unethical car dealership. Don’t waste your time with Audi North Austin... they will certainly waste yours. More
Sub-par Customer Service & Questionable Practices I should have taken my business elsewhere. Short version - Go somewhere else if you appreciate quality customer service from a premium dealership bran I should have taken my business elsewhere. Short version - Go somewhere else if you appreciate quality customer service from a premium dealership brand. Long version - Went to the Audi N. Austin dealership about 2 weeks. The 2-stars are only because of David, the sales associate. He's actually 4-5 stars, but the rest of the buying & ownership experience weighed in heavily unfortunately. I wanted to get a certified pre-owned or extend the manufacturer warranty on a Q7. I considered a Q7 because it can tow a lot...with the tow package: tow module, wiring harness, and hitch (around $1100 worth of parts). Looked at a 2017 and 2014. David was working hard. We walked around and looked at vehicles all the way up until closing time (7pm), and I appreciated that. I came back a few days later after he had the cars ready to test drive. I wanted the 2017 model, but the "mysterious finance guy" that only David could talk to wouldn't budge on the $750 I wanted to go down. I felt like they didn't want to sell me that car so I told them to keep it and went with the 2014 plus extended the manufacturer warranty. Asked them for their best offer for financing and was told my credit score was 851 (above perfect??) so they offered me 5.99%. I told them that was insulting and nowhere near competitive (market average at the time was 4-7%). "Magically" their lenders came back with 3.79% to beat a pre-approved offer I already had. Bought the car and realized that the "detailing" only covered the outside and the front seats. Found food (yuck) and other trash in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Very disappointing from a "premium" brand. 4 days later, it won't start because of a dead battery. Got a jump and drove it 1.5 hours back to the dealership. Car barely started again when they wanted to see the issue. Sat around for over 2 hours waiting for them to figure out the cause with no one coming to talk to me about what was wrong with the car or what they were doing to fix it. I had to ask 3 times to speak with someone. Finally talked with Thomas (Pre-Owned Director) who proceeded to tell me all the favors he was doing for me. Huh??? He agreed that it's highly unlikely a battery tests good (done by them) and goes bad 4 days later. I said a failing battery should have been caught during their inspection of the vehicle. He marginalized all of my previous bad experiences and offered no way to restore my confidence in that dealership or the Audi brand. I ended the conversation because he was not addressing the issues I had. Got the car back, and they didn't even do a courtesy wash. Pathetic. Since then, I found the air filter foam covering was disintegrated (lots of small pieces and power from the foam. That shows either the service dept looked at and left or they didn't look at it at all. The cabin air filter was also filthy. The vehicle didn't come with the tow package which is the main reason I wanted the vehicle. Tried to order the parts through Audi N. Austin, but the parts dept was vague and apprehensive about giving me any information...like what parts I'd need to install the tow package. Ended up ordering from an Audi dealership in Atlanta, Georgia. As of now, I have buyer's remorse and am sour about the buying & ownership experience. Hoping the towing experience will improve my opinion of Audi, but I fear the vehicle will leave me stranded alongside the road. More

They don’t know the meaning of custom Don’t go this horrible place, from service dept. associate to General Manage, such a terrible customer service. They don’t know the meaning of customer service. Very dishonest and unfair sales practices Salesman: Dishonest and very little knowledge of the car model I bought. Told me I was looking at the last BASE model A3 they had at the dealership. W Salesman: Dishonest and very little knowledge of the car model I bought. Told me I was looking at the last BASE model A3 they had at the dealership. When I questioned why I wasn't getting the advertised lease price on the website, he said I didn't have the BASE model. When I said I was unhappy and going to leave he used more dishonest sales tactics to get me to agree on an extremely unfair price. The tactics include stretching the lease from 36 to 42 months and lowering the mileage from 10k to 7,500 miles per year and "paying off" my current lease but adding $100 per month to the monthly lease payment ($4,200 over the life of the lease) when the lease only had $1,500 left on it to be paid off. I understand this is my fault for not catching and stopping it from happening to me but I have been used to being able to trust a salesman for the last 10 years and 4 cars that I had leased from Chevy. He also told me about a technology the car had that was a HUGE selling point for me that a few days later, after purchasing and not being able to get the tech to work, found out my model doesn't have it. Salesman said, "oh sorry, thats weird all of the models I've seen had that tech. Its because you have the base model”. He then literally walked away from me after that. So I DO have the BASE model! I have an Audi and the passenger seat has a lever I have to pull to move it, not power! Seriously?!? In the finance office, when signing the lease agreement, I asked the finance lady what my residual lease payoff amount would be at the end of the lease and she said $33,000+. I was shocked because the sticker price was that amount. She gave me a long explanation about how Audi does things differently than BMW or Lexus and they keep the residual very high in order to offer lower lease payments. I asked, “Why would anyone pay lease payments for years then buyout the car for the original price?” Her answer was that no one buys out leases, they just lease a new model at the end of the other lease. After the paperwork for my lease agreement printed, it showed my residual lease payoff amount was $14,000. I brought this up and she said, “oh sorry, yea its $14,000”. Another sign that these people were making things up on the spot to get me to sign no matter what. Being someone who is non-confrontational and having my six year old begging to leave after three hours at a dealership, I signed despite all of these warning signs that I was not involved in an honest, fair sale. The final horrible experience at this dealership was the service department. I was only given one key for the car at purchase and was told another has been ordered. When it arrived my salesman called and told me I could stop by and grab it, that it will only take 10 or 15 minutes to have the key programmed. I stopped by the next night after work and after waiting about 10 minutes for my key to be found the service guy walked over and said to me, “you really have a couple hours to wait for this?” I told him I was told it was 10 minutes. He laughed at me and said, “no you need to make an appointment”. So I made an appointment for Saturday. Saturday I dropped the car off and asked to be called when it was finished. I received a call about 40 minutes later and was told the wrong key was ordered for my car. 15 minutes later she called again and said they found another key that would work. An hour later she called and said the car was ready for me to pick up. I got my girlfriend to drop me and my daughter off at the dealership. I went to service to get my car and the lady said they were just hand washing it and it’ll be there soon. 30 minutes later I still didn’t have my car. This went on for over 2 hours and the service lady was very apologetic and confused as to why my car wasn’t being brought to me. Overall it took about 3 hours to get my car after receiving a phone call that my car was ready for pickup. I made a call to Audi’s main customer service to explain all of these issues and how I wanted out of the car that I just bought 6 days ago. They logged the complaint and sent me a stuffed bunny. I called back and they said nothing can be done by them and I should call Audi Financial. I did. They said nothing can be done and I should call Audi’s main customer service back and ask to have my case go to management. I did and they said they would talk to the dealership and call me back with results. It has been a month and I have heard nothing. Do not buy Audi, but if you do….DO NOT USE NORTH AUSTIN AUDI! More
Horrible people My 2015 Audi Q3 was dropped off at Audi of North Austin located at 12971 Pond Springs Rd Austin, TX 78729 and put under a Tommie Ellis and a Ken Fluh My 2015 Audi Q3 was dropped off at Audi of North Austin located at 12971 Pond Springs Rd Austin, TX 78729 and put under a Tommie Ellis and a Ken Fluhr who sent me a text saying we got your vehicle and told me they were going to handle it ASAP due to my vehicle being dropped off for damage to the underside. My insurance company USAA who always has great customer also told me that they were working with Audi of North Austin and were on the repairs as well. Now it is December 21st and my car is with Audi of South Austin! You may ask what happened it’s plain and simple lying, fraud, horrible customer service, and some of the worst “Audi specialists” which clearly don’t represent the brand. My car wasn’t worked on for many weeks and was lied to about the work that was being done. I was lied to by both Ken and Tommie that USAA wasn’t contacting them or letting them know what to do. USAA has the recorded conversations, emails, and write correspondents with staff at Audi of North Austin who denied them access to my vehicle and turned them away at every chance to work on my vehicle. I also was told by another manager that this service is taking longer than expected and is unacceptable so we’ll get you a loaner which was a flat out lie. I reached out for several days to Ken and Manager of the loaner cars: Lyia Cantooner who wasn’t reachable for several days because she either ignored or dodged my calls and other manager’s messages. On December 20th I reached out to Audi of North America to help them get in contact with Lyia and Audi of North Austin to help with the horrible lack of communication….they got them to answer right away. The same day I was called at 6:05PM by Tommie Ellis, Ken Fluhr, and Lyia Cantooner who accused me of making false claims and causing them a “hard time” so they stated they didn’t want to deal with me and said come get your vehicle tonight or we will charge you a large fee to keep in storage here each day…I was viciously verbally attacked and belittled in this “conversation” but I still drove there at 6:30PM on December 20th and called Lyia who said we are closing and hung up on me, they close at 7:00PM. The next day I tried to get my car at 7:00AM when they opened and was told no one is in and your car is in pieces so you cannot get it….again I was lied to about picking it up the night prior. My Audi was finally picked up around 11AM and brought to a much better dealership: Audi of South Austin. I have never been so disrespected in my life and have taken to proper steps to ensure everyone hears about this and action is taken! Also on the invoice they lied and stated the customer denied repairs which is a lie, they told USAA they couldn’t properly repair my car which is a lie, and lied to me about everything! USAA has the recorded conversations and I recorded all the conversations as well and my hope someone takes action immediately!! More
