Great Long Distance Buying Experience We were in Naples two weekends ago on a “get off the island” weekend. We had been looking for a “new to us” German convertible. We looked at an A4 at the Mercedes dealer right next door to Audi Naples. (See my review of them on their Facebook Page) It was a miserable experience. The next day was Sunday and we were due leave for home later in the day. While having coffee, we looked at the used car inventory at Audi Naples. Why we didn’t stop in there on Saturday when we were in the area, I have no clue. There were two possible cars, according to their online inventory. Unfortunately, they weren’t open on Sundays. We drove over to the lot and found one of the two vehicles; we later learned that the first one had been sold. We were very interested in the second car. The very next morning (Monday), I reached out to the salesman. It took most of the day going back and forth, but we came to an agreement on the price and the car was our’s. We had originally talked about trading in our existing Mini Cooper on the “new to us” A4. After talking with them, they offered us a very fair price on the trade. In the end, we sold the car locally to a friend who needed one. We made arrangements to rent a car and make the 5 hour drive from Key West on Friday. Jason G picked us up at the rental car drop off and drove us to the dealership. We filled out the paperwork and received LOTS of instruction on all the features of the car. Jason took time to work with my wife to assure she knew how to put the convertible top up and down. He also worked with her to set up the memory seats, mirrors, and clock. The sales team I worked with, Joe Pozzo and John Holman, were very honest and knowledgeable about the Audi brand and the car I was interested in buying. I say this because they described the car accurately and sent me a video of the car to make sure I had an "almost as good as being there in person" experience. John Joseph did a good job getting a great (low) financing rate. Ted Daly and Tamas Nagy followed up with the details and addressed questions along the way. The car was shipped (arranged by Audi Naples) to my home location in the Boston area. The A6 is better than described (extremely clean and looks like new).
