This dealership is a scam. I purchased an extended warranty for 4 years/75,000 miles (additional). But when I had to use the warranty I found out the fine print read up to 75,000 miles. Then on top warranty for 4 years/75,000 miles (additional). But when I had to use the warranty I found out the fine print read up to 75,000 miles. Then on top of it I find out that Audi offers a 10 year up to 120,000 mile warranty which they never presented or offered. All they presented was their 3rd party warranty. I recommend buying your Audi elsewhere. Audi is too good of a brand to be represented by xxxx bags! More
READ FOR MORTON GROVE SHOPPING TIPS IN THIS REVIEW. Overall awful dealership experience. I have purchased vehicles from Audi Fletcher Jones, Hoffman Estates, and now Morton Grove, and I will not be returning to Morton Grove. PROS: Only pros are that Dan H. was a knowledgeable sales associate, and the car was in good shape. CONS + TIPS: If you are thinking about shopping at MG, here are some tips I learned from my experience: 1) Get everything in email (price, fees, taxes, etc.) before you even show up. This will save you hours of headache while you are there. With the exception of vehicle trade in value, if they don't want to quote anything in writing, there is a reason for that. This is the only Audi dealership I interacted with that wouldn't put anything in writing. 2) Do not buy any of the warranties. Read the fine print. You are better off saving that money each month and spending it if something goes wrong. 3) They are going to spring a last minute charge of $299 for filling the tires up with nitrogen vs. oxygen, and say that it's non-negotiable because they already did it, which is annoying. While nitrogen filling is a good service, it costs about $50 total to get it done by a 3rd party and they are grossly overcharging you - cost is probably <$1/tire to them. Get this knocked off (in writing via email) before you even show up. 4) If you are trading in a vehicle, shop it elsewhere beforehand. They initially offered me several thousand below KBB trade-in value, and it was a dog and pony show getting a reasonable price, but I had comparison offers from other Audi dealerships. Pro tip: Carvana will give you thousands more than a dealership on a trade in, and probably a better overall experience (disclosure: I have never used them though). MG said "they don't match Carvana trade in values" - Not my problem, it's a competitor, figure it out if you want to stay competitive. 5) Go to the dealership with plenty of time to spare - It took us three hours from the time we arrived to the time we left with the car. If you are on a schedule to get out of there quickly, you will lose leverage in the negotiation process. Have patience, take the negotiation process slow, and read ALL the fine print. Their sales tactics are to try and fluster you by rushing things, particularly during the trade in negotiation process. 6) Confirm they have both keys to the car before you go to the dealership. We found out there was only one key at the end of the sale process, and we made a verbal agreement (mistake) that they would make us a key "at cost". After the sale I called them pursuing this, and at first they sent us two different quotes from two different people at the dealership, and both were substantially higher than the parts.audiusa.com website, which quotes the exact price to get a key done at a specific dealership. When I called them out on it, they said they would get back to us with a better price, which they never did. After calling them again, they said they could only do the price they initially gave us (again, higher than the website price), and charge $190 for labor, which is obviously not "at cost". The total to get a new key was quoted around $600. Our sales rep followed up with us several times on this and after I asked him to fix the price discrepancy, he said he could not do anything and I would need to speak with someone else. The hand offs and miscommunication between different people within the dealership was so unorganized and unprofessional, that it's the sole reason I will not be returning for another purchase. Coordinating this kind of stuff is not hard, and it felt like they were going above and beyond to screw me on the price for this, which didn't make sense. If they had handled this issue properly, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. I doubt I would get this level of shadiness at Fletcher Jones, and will likely be returning there for my next purchase. More
First, I want to say that I love Audi products and I feel they are a wonderful example of thoughtful engineering. That being said, Audi Morton Grove provided the WORST experience possible, not only when I they are a wonderful example of thoughtful engineering. That being said, Audi Morton Grove provided the WORST experience possible, not only when I purchased the vehicle, but for the last 6 months after I sold the vehicle! I live 4 hours from the Morton Grove location but made the trip up with my wife to look at a 2016 A6 Prestige. After dealing with what seemed like 10 different salespeople, (none of which had any authority to make a deal) we came to an agreement on terms. Part of the terms was AMG would repair some of the cosmetic imperfections on the vehicle before I took possession. It was decided that I would come back the following weekend to pick up the car and finalize documents. Fast forward a week and when I arrive to pick up the vehicle, there are new and more severe imperfections to the car than before. There was a 4” deep scratch in the hood that wasn’t there before, and after removal of the front license plate holder, there was more damage to the body because they used the wrong hardware upon install. Refusing to make a 3rd trip, I requested I be allowed to leave with the vehicle and have the repairs completed by the Audi dealership closer to my home at the expense of AMG. They would only agree to part of those repairs. Their position was that Illinois state law requires front license plates and so it was not their responsibility to ensure the state of the bumper without the plastic holder! I owned the A6 for just short of 2 years and it was a great vehicle. Upon my family growing, we decided to trade in the vehicle for a large SUV at a different dealership. During this process, I was told I could request a refund for any remaining extended warranty that I had purchased thru AMG. On Jan 7, 2020 I made the first call to AMG to start the process. I was told they typically require these documents to be signed in person but due to my remote location, I could fax in the documents. 2 weeks passed after I sent in the documents with no response. I called again and was given new instructions to send the documents again. Another 2 weeks passed, so I got in my vehicle and drove 4 hours to AMG to talk to a person. I was introduced to the finance manager who was able to help me fill out the appropriate documentation and assured me I would have the refund in 2-3 weeks. Over the next 4 months, I continuously reached out to AMG on the status of my refund. I had contacted Audi Pure Protection in mid March and they had informed me first that they didn’t have my request to cancel. Then 2 weeks later they informed me that they had refunded the amount to AMG and I should be receiving my check anytime. April 15, still waiting on the check. Have been told on several occasions, the check is in the mail. May 1, still waiting on the check. Now no response from finance manager at all. May 21st I finally get a call from a young lady in accounting who says they have received my check back in the mail marked undeliverable. Turns out, they had the wrong address, despite several times where I gave them this information. Finally, the young lady offers to overnight my check so I will have it on Friday May 22. Friday comes...no check, Saturday...same. I send a message after checking tracking info that shows the label has been created but it never was tendered to UPS. I FINALLY received my check from AMG today MAY 27th. Only took 5 months I suppose. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE OR WORK WITH AUDI MORTON GROVE. THEY MAY HAVE A SUPERIOR PRODUCT ON THEIR LOT, BUT THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY AUTOMOBILE DEALER I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! More

When you compare prices with similar vehicles, you can see they are ready to sell them. 1) However, with the listed prices on the used vehicles, including prices on the internet, you must pay the $300 "Nitro" fee. This fee is not listed with listed prices. This seems like a unethical thing to do. The nitro fees are nitrogen they put in the tires to make more money. You will get the diagram and speech about how this gives you better gas mileage, you loose less tire pressure, etc. I was given the impression this was a standard free bonus which everyone receives- until you go to sign the bill of sale. I was able to get them to waive this fee after I complained. 2) For financing, I would recommend you come with your own financing. The rates they give you are not good in comparison with rates you can get elsewhere. 3) Be prepared to spend a very looooong time there. Despite it not being busy and having a scheduled appointment it took 3 hours to complete paperwork! This is after you have agreed on a price! 4) They insist they must issue registration there. So, if you wish to get personalized registration you would have to pay for all new registration to do this or wait one year until this registration expires. So again, remember the nitro tactic, crappy financing, and length of sale process. If you are prepared for this, you can likely get a very good price on a used More
