My wife was recently in a car accident in which her car was totaled and needed to find a new car quickly. Unfortunately, she has very specific tastes, and yet is extremely poor at pulling the trigger when was totaled and needed to find a new car quickly. Unfortunately, she has very specific tastes, and yet is extremely poor at pulling the trigger when making decisions. So within minutes of meeting with Joe and telling him our needs, the first thing he did was make us an espresso. immediately after that, he was at his computer pulling up vehicles for us to consider -- not just from his own dealership, but from DCH sister dealerships, too (because his dealership only had one SUV on the lot that met my wife's criteria). That particular car didn't work for us, but Joe assured us he would keep looking. then, for the next couple weeks, (with my full blessing) Joe would call or email us every couple days regarding potential cars that were being traded in that day. still, nothing quite fit, and eventually we shut down the search to go on vacation. Joe told us to enjoy our vacation and relax, and not think about cars because he would be doing that for us. Literally the day we returned from our vacation, Joe called me again to let me know that one of the SUVs that we were considering had just been reduced in price, making it fall within our budget that we gave him. We couldn't get back up to the dealership until the weekend and expressed to Joe our fear that the car would get snatched up, but instead of him reminding us that it was "first come, first served", Joe assured us that he would do his best to hold the car for us. I assumed this was just sales talk, but either way the car was still there when Saturday rolled around. we were ecstatic. initially we hadn't even taken the car out for a test drive because of the price, but this time we gave it a whirl... and it was perfect. within an hour of pulling back into the dealership, we had negotiated a great price, took care of financing and insurance, and my wife followed me home in her very gently-used Acura RDX. One week later, she is still thrilled with her car and her entire buying experience, and we let Joe know that when he called the other day to make sure she was happy. We went to a number of dealerships in-between our trips to DCH Audi, and very often we left feeling highly pressured and nearly swindled. It made us very happy to be able to purchase a car from Joe, as he put ZERO pressure on us and made us feel relaxed and taken care of. In the end, we got a great deal on a great car from a great saleperson. Thanks Joe! More
I recently brought my 2005 A6 to DCH Audi for service. With 209k miles on the car, wear and tear was beginning to take its' toll. After seeing that maintenance was going to be a continuing issue, I decided to speak with a salesman about a new car. I met with Joe Sasso who took me for a test ride in a new A6. After returning to the dealership, we discussed what options would fit the kind of driving that I do along with what new technologies the 2012 A6 edition offered. My last few visits to the service department involved some extensive work. The repairs were done in an efficient manner and I didn't have to bring the car back. Once a problem was resolved, the problem was resolve. The price was fair and the repairs were completed timely. Unfortunately, service visits were becoming more frequent. One of the difficulties I've always had with salesmen is that they tend to know less about their product than the customer they're trying to sell. Joe Sasso knows his product and made me feel comfortable with his option recommendations. In addition, he made sure that the pricing included all of the incentives that I was entitled to. This is my third A6 purchase and the third Audi dealership that I'm purchasing from. The others will remain nameless at this point but suffice it to say, each of the others had serious defects on, both, the service and sales side. I have no reservations about recommending DCH Audi of Maplewood to anyone in the market for quality car. More

These characteristics were extremely important considering the fact that I am in the service and it is not especially easy to get to a dealership that is more than 2 hours from home. John walked me through the process, assisted me with my research, allowed me plenty of time to look at the car, and then was extremely patient as we worked through the buying process. The customer service in General at DCH Audi was outstanding as that everyone was extremely friendly. I would recommend this dealership to any friend or family that is looking for a new or used car. Purchased a Certified 2008 A4 from Jake Auslander. Traded in a 2009 Camry. Jake is the kind of salesman anyone would pray for when entering a new car dealership. I spoke to him on the phone first when making an inquiry on the A4 that I found on the website. Right from the start, Jake was up-front, informative and genuinely friendly. Upon arriving at the dealership, Jake was a gentleman from the get-go as he quickly grabbed the door and held it open for my wife before we were introduced because someone had let it go on her. We were treated respectfully as Jake quickly arranged for us to see and test drive the '08 A4 and also suggested we consider an '09 as an option which we also test drove. We decided on the '08 because we liked the smaller body style. The Camry was then appraised and Jake told me the offer in a no-nonsense manner. Of course, I was hoping the offer would have been higher but felt that it was reasonable and I wouldn't have to deal with selling it privately and would receive the tax break by trading it in. We opted to pay the additional cost of having the '08 certified and there were scratches on the rear bumper. Jake assured us that the scratches would be professionally repaired at no charge and everything would be checked as per their certification requirements. Jake kept me updated in a timely manner and handled the entire transaction professionally. When we arrived to pick up the car, it was parked in front of the dealership in plain sight and looked fantastic. Jake introduced us to Roy who handled all of the paper work for the trade and financing. Jake's professionalism and friendliness were equally reflected by Roy who made the process a pleasure. After signing everything, Jake took us to the vehicle and made sure we were comfortable and ready to leave. He didn't miss a single detail and thought of several that hadn't even crossed my mind. The only negative issue I can think of is that the body shop missed a few significant scratches on the front hood and side door that I wished they would have repaired when they had the paint available. To their credit though, the scratches on the rear bumper were perfectly repaired just as Jake said they would be. I would recommend Jake, Roy and the entire dealership to anyone. Bottom line, they are a special breed who truly care about their customers. More

Closing on the car was a breeze with no upsell pressure. I have had my Q5 in twice for regular maintenance since then. The first time I noticed what seemed to be a hesitation from standing start issue. One of the techs listened very intently to me and researched the issue. He never dismissed my observations. Turned out that only a few days prior a TSB was put out on the issue. The software was corrected and viola, no issues. The second time I brought the Q5 in for 15,0000 service. They gave me a loaner as I lived far from their facility. I also wanted the car detailed and asked that they pay particular attention to some scratches I had on the hood to see if they would be buffed out. When I picked up the car I did not pay close attention to the detail job. When I got home I saw that the interior seemed as though it was barely touched. Dirt and crumbs in every cup holder, between the seats, in the ashtray etc. I decided not to make a big deal about it. Then I got the survey. I decided to mention the issues with the detail in the survey. Within minutes I received a call from Alan Palma who explained that, do to their guys being busy, that they outsourced to a local outfit. He credited me for the entire $160 detail and gave me a credit for a future detail. He really wanted to make sure I was happy. He went way beyond what any car dealer I have worked with would have done. For me, this dealership is well worth driving 40 minutes out of my way to. I live 5 minutes from Jack Daniels in Upper Saddle River. More
