Sold me a wrecked car with clean CARFAX & Audi Certification I have purchased Certified Pre-owned BMWs and Porsches with great outcomes. Unfortunately - this experience was different. I live in NY State, and h I have purchased Certified Pre-owned BMWs and Porsches with great outcomes. Unfortunately - this experience was different. I live in NY State, and had the AUDI A8 shipped to me. While the car was still on the truck, it was immediately apparent that the entire drivers side had been repainted. When the delivery driver saw us looking at the vehicle still on his truck he commented "you know this car was a wreck, right?" This was not a fender bender. This was a fairly serious accident. There are three visible creases on the doors and quarter panel. The repair work is awful. Mismatched paint, sanding marks under the paint still visible, overspray on the interior of the car. Yes - the instrument panel and much of the dash is covered in paint overspray. Windshield was replaced with the incorrect windshield rendering the heads up display useless. Yes - the accident was severe enough to break the windshield. Damaged tire with a large plug less directly adjacent to the side wall. I was advised by our local Goodyear tire shop not to drive the vehicle. Water on the interior carpet near the drivers side front door but I'm not exactly sure where it came from. When doing a facetime walkaround of the vehicle, I asked Any M - from Audi Jacksonville if he saw any dings or dents that i should be aware of. He showed me a minor ding on the rear bumper and said he would have it repaired. He said the car looked great - just how you would expect a car with only 17K miles would look. I called Andy after i received the car and told him of the issues. He acted surprised and said he would speak to his parts and service people. I followed up with a text, but not surprisingly I recieved no return call. I got AUDI involved because of the AUDI Certified Pre Owned program (300 point checklist) but, quite honestly - they don't seem to care. The AUDI Certified Pre Owned Program isn't worth the paper it's printed on. They do not hold their dealers responsible. This back and forth has been going on for nearly three weeks. When i finally got someone at AUDI to get a supervisor involved (they do NOT want you to talk to a supervisor), It took several days for them to reach out to me. With no concern for the condition in which this certified car was delivered, the supervisor told me "they said they knew nothing of your complaints". It;'s clear to me that I'm stuck with this wreck. Once i get over the embarrassment of haven been taken by these people, I guess i will have to replace the windshield and tires at my expense, and then deal with the exterior issues. When I called Audi - my main question was "can you ask how bad the accident was?" It never got addressed. Based on the condition of the vehicle, the shoddy workmanship of the repairs and the willingness of the dealer to withhold information - I am concerned with the condition of the airbags and other safety features. I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Audi Jacksonville and AUDI. I recommend sticking with BMW of Porsche. More
