Had my car in for the coil pack recall. They did a horrible job. Stripped my coil harness wire and stripped my coil pack screws. They were scratches on my car that weren't there before. Also I am o horrible job. Stripped my coil harness wire and stripped my coil pack screws. They were scratches on my car that weren't there before. Wheels stolen off of car on dealership lot ** updated with result ** Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now! I left my car at Schaumburg Audi for 5k service on Saturday. I was supposed to pick it up the same day, but they leave me a VM 5 minutes before closing time telling me to come pick it up. WTF. So today comes and I get a call from the service guy, Ted. So before he starts talking, I tell him that I'd be happy to pick the car up after work. He proceeds to tell me that I can't. I go wtf?! and he, without any hint of apology whatsoever, tells me that the wheels (Hartmann 19" RS4 reps) have been stolen off of my car. I was in shock. This is one one of the better/bigger Audi dealers in Chicago/NW Suburb area... mind you. I ask him if they had the video rolling. Ted tells me that it wasn't working at the time. How the F does a car dealership have a non-functioning video camera over a weekend? I thought "BS!" but went with it. I ask him if the car is sitting on bricks and he tells me it's sitting on jacks and that there is no other damage at all beside the wheels missing. I say bullshit, but went along with it again. He said he's got a police report in (which I don't know if it is true, but i'm sure my insurance people will get that taken care of). This whole thing smells foul with inside job. First of all, the wheels are just RS4 reps that look like 20 other sets of wheels on other cars.. Second, non-functioning camera? Third, thieves don't go on a dealer car lot and steal shit unless they want to get caught on the security camera. It's got to be one of the employees that saw my car. The biggest thing that pisses me off is the attitude of Ted. He sounded annoyed rather than apologetic. I have the claim initiated with Allstate and I told them this sounds fishy and wanted it investigated thoroughly. And they better pay my 500 dollar deductible. The wheels can be replaced easily but I hate the fact that I might need to go back to this shitty dealership for service. More
Everything was great from start to finish. Every employee was helpful and pleasent. I went in to have a noise checked out and a couple of random maintanance issues and within an hour I was out the d employee was helpful and pleasent. I went in to have a noise checked out and a couple of random maintanance issues and within an hour I was out the door with all problems resolved. I will be an Audi owner for life and this dealership is a big reason why. More
I have had two very nice experiences at this dealer. One was with the service department and the other was with their parts department. The people that work there are very friendly and polite. They ask a lo was with the service department and the other was with their parts department. The people that work there are very friendly and polite. They ask a lot of questions and actually seem to care about solving your problems. The dealership is very neat and clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. My car was washed and ready when I came to pick it up the same day that I brought it in, and the problem I was having with the car was fixed. I stopped at the parts department for some touch up paint and batteries for my key remote, and they had everthing in stock. All in all, a ver nice experience. More
The service team at this dealer isn't up to par. They misdiagnosed my multiple times when it was under warranty. Same exact problem came back (faulty Yaw sensor) after warranty expired and some how they misdiagnosed my multiple times when it was under warranty. Same exact problem came back (faulty Yaw sensor) after warranty expired and some how they managed to run a completely different test this time that found the problem except it was going to cost me $1200. Had long argument with their service unprofessionals and the used the sleazy excuse that this could be caused by a different reason and so they are not responsible. I would not take me bike to this dealer let a lone my car. Also, the guys who work there really act like robots. A smile could go a long way. More
My appointment was for Tues. November 13. I had just found this site that previous Monday. So I was a little uneasy about bring my car there to say the least. My wife came home, and told me that she had found this site that previous Monday. So I was a little uneasy about bring my car there to say the least. My wife came home, and told me that she had to go into work early on tues. So we had to bring the car in monday night. I got there around 5:45-50 Ed was sitting there and I had explained to him my story about how we had to drop the car off tonight. Now knowing I had a loner set up for Tues. I was expecting to be told I had to rent or prob fight with him as I had to do at the exchange to get a car. It took him about 10 min but he was came back with a car. He told me he should not be doing this, but he still did. I was totally not expecting it. As far as service I brought it in for a torn cv boot, 80k maint, and put on my snow tires. They washed my engine and vaccum the car. It was a bit pricey but I own an Audi it is to be expected. It was done the same day! Cant wait till first snow fall. I'll be going back for sure. Dan. More
My wife and I are currently shopping for a new car and I came across this site. We had an Audi we purchased new from Schaumburg Audi and, I must say, it was the worst ownership experience we have ever had. came across this site. We had an Audi we purchased new from Schaumburg Audi and, I must say, it was the worst ownership experience we have ever had. Routine servicing always led to a mechanical issue that "needed attention". These in turn would involve sometimes thousands of dallars in repairs that were all covered under warranty. Of course, this was very inconvenient for us as the car was in for seemingly unnecessary service about three days/month. I talked with other owners at that dealership and they had all had the same problem with the service dept. Owners from other dealers had not. I talked to Tony Papparo, the Service Manager, while in the dealer for repairs and he called me a "liar" right there in the showroom, and made a crack at my ethnicity. Later in the same week he left a message with my service demanding that I call him back immediately. I complied and he told me that the purpose of his call was to tell that I would not be allowed to come back to the dealer for service or new car sales. I followed up with Audi North America and they said all the dealers are franchises, and therefore they have no leverage (I have found out since then that the call center I spoke to is possibly in the upstairs of this dealership). This was all very confusing at the time, and we have since then filed suit against this dealer. I'm sorry, but I could never recommend this dealer. This was an awful experience for my wife and me, and we are both truly amazed that the dealership is still open for business. More
I feel like I would be doing everyone a favor by NOT recommending this dealership to anyone. I owned an Audi that was constantly in this shop and had several of the same problems reoccur after the car recommending this dealership to anyone. I owned an Audi that was constantly in this shop and had several of the same problems reoccur after the car was in for service. I would take the car in for service and "surprise" I would take the car home and there would be two more things wrong with it immediatly. They also tried to bend me over on a couple of expensive bills that were covered under warrantee. I owned the car for 3 years and it was absolutly the worst experience. I finally upgraded to a more relaible car (Acura) and have had no more headaches!!! More
Hello sirs, I recently purchased an Audi A6 3.0L 2002 Hello sirs, I recently purchased an Audi A6 3.0L 2002 from another dealer. Just for my safety, I wanted to have a diagnostic done at Audi Schaumbu Hello sirs, I recently purchased an Audi A6 3.0L 2002 from another dealer. Just for my safety, I wanted to have a diagnostic done at Audi Schaumburg. Prior to this I also ordered a spare key so when I get my car back from testing also I will get my key programmed. After the diagnostic ($200) and another $200 for finding the defective module, backup sensor (2 hours labor) and erroneous brake diagnosis, I was told the breaks are under the minimum safety limit and a button from the radio is missing! This was an obvious lay because I had my breaks checked at a brake specialist later on. I was playing wit the radio one day before and also my wife looked at it prior to the “diagnostic” and nothing was missing. When I looked carefully at the radio, after the “diagnostic” I noticed small scratches around other two buttons as if somebody tried to pool them out with a tool (pliers). Of course I was told that it can’t be fixed and I have to replace the whole radio! This is not the first time very questionable diagnoses and weird repairs that happen in this place! I have to tell you, this is not the only car I serviced in this place. I had similar experiences with an older Audi A6 (1979) that I serviced here. MY ADVICE IS: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE NOT EVAN FOR A LIGHT BULB CAHNGE!!! Regards, Tony Chirulescu 665 Audubon Str. Schaumburg, IL More
